Looking good Dj.AJ

My cousin had the same problem wrt to the skirts not fitting. This was a few weeks ago, not sure what they finally did. It was the front bumper though.

Solid choice of car boss !

@ - DJ AJ, I checked with my mechanic - He's quoted 3400/- for a pair of headlight assemblies.

@ Souljah, if your cousins skirts don't fit then you should tell him or her to lose some weight.

@ DJ AJ - Nice choice of car, wheels are looking good, get it painted blah blah.

Now only if you could come on this thread and own up that the car does not belong to you, but to B&T, that will help. Thanks in advance.

DJ AJ is what a certain Audio Guru on this forum used to be known as once upon a time! I should get hold of a CD of his remixes by Monday.

So indirectly your telling AJ also to lose weight? He already seems to have done a good job. What About Amey's lancer? Will also need to lose weight to wear them skirts

Yes AJ has lost a considerable amount of weight - Kudos to him.

I'm not going to comment on the dressing habits of AJ or Amee, but if they do insist on wearing skirts, I hope wardrobe malfunctions such as the one mentioned below won't occur:

Now, the headlights need to be changed since they have become foggy, and tin/ paint work remains. The original Lancer headlamps were quoted at ~ 18k a pair! Any alternatives?
OEM headlamps were expensive but there are replacement parts from Taiwan. There are importers here who get them - ask any good independent garage and they'll source the headlamps. Here's the link to the product brochures
Taiwan auto Lamp, Asia auto Lamp, manufacturer of auto Lamp,Lamp, depo auto lamp, automobiles accessories , motorcycles accessories,Ming Yang

You can also try 'fancy' replacements for the Lancer. I used Depo tail lamp when my tail lamp got cracked - 17xx instead of 4xxx from Lancer parts list/workshop.

Went around to a few garages yesterday to get quotes for paint jobs. Most were around the 45-50k mark. Some went upto 80. A couple more were hell bent on modifiying the car for me, and painting it some "unique" color.

Mr Pervez at Mazda Motors where I ended up last, was of the opinion that I should not be spending the 1L rupees that it would cost to do a strip and paint job at his garage. He also said that his opinion was that the car doesn't need it right now. He said there was hardly any corrosion, and can easily be fixed. He said I should just get that addressed, fix the dents and paint whatever panels need to be painted. Of course, this means that I cannot change the color of the car. Which is fine with me. He also mentioned a certain polish, that costs 5k, that he guarantees will bring the shine back into the somewhat dull panels of the car. He was confident that those panels will NOT need to be repainted, and they will match the freshly painted panels! I'm going by his word. Front bumper needs to be changed. Overall, I think this one will set me back by about 30-35k. Work begins on Thursday. Will post the progress.

I'm also thinking of ditching the sports kit. Will keep the car as is.
