Electra Performance is a good place. I got my Fiesta done at Hi Rev on 100 ft road.

Mine was a Magnaflow FFE. It cost about 32k.

The conical air filters are good, but if you want real performance and sound on the road, I would suggest a cold air induction with air filter. You can get a Pipercross, K&N or Green Cotton

Hi guys, just heard from a fellow team-bhp member that Electra's workshop on OMR (opposite the HCL building) no longer exists & in its place is an Audi showroom !

Could anybody in the know provide an update regarding where Electra's workshop's been relocated ?

Thanks

Its on the same side as HCL now before the Maruti Showroom. If your going towards HCL from the Velachery-Taramani Road Junction its around 150m further from the signal on the left. Its a little obscured now thanks to a large tree and road work but look carefully and you can't miss it.

To put it simple, when you cross SRP Tools junction when going towards Perungudi, Electra is to the left, just before CARS India workshop. They have a display board put up too.

I wanted a FFE from them, but their quote was 16.5K for my corsa ! After reading the posts here, I was hoping for a quote between 12-13K !

Can somebody help me get a better quote at Electra for my Corsa ?

I repeatedly asked/pleaded for discount, but 'Kamlesh' was stuck at 16.5. Is that really that expensive for a FFE there ?

When I checked for my Fiesta 1.6, they quoted 12k over the phone. This was just a general enquiry. I got mine done at Hi-Rev and it cost more than 16.5 with SS pipes and custom headers

Hi , Thanks for the info. I dont know why I have been quoted 16.5K when they seem to give every one 12K quote ! Also, I did not ask for any specification, I just asked ' I want FFE incl Headers for my corsa, How much would it cost ?' I was told 16.5K and they stuck to that price.

Also, when asked they said Mild Steel is used.

I have also sent an email to Hi-Rev now, I think 16.5K at high Rev is better as they use Stainless Steel pipes.

Also, I had a quote from another place for 14.5 that used GI for pipes, headers and back box.

The fact remains that unless you take your car on a dyno/roller before and after FFE , its hard to say if there are any gains etc.
Also, I am worried, if some people might con me about the Headers ( calculations for it etc etc ) . If they just put the stock header, painted silver and just remove the CAT and put a back box, I would still see a gain because of the removal of CAT and they would claim its because of the custom headers designed using some hi-fi calculations..

You can try for an alternate quote at Torque Auto-run by the ex-electra technicians-the same guys who did the job for my Siena & M-800 cars at Electra in the past. contact 9176692886

Kannan, no offence meant, but you do seem to be very persistent that people should try out this Torque-Auto. You have even started a thread here (A New Professional Garage in Chennai -Torque Auto).

Why dont you post your personal experience with this garage for others to read.

true, persistent or not, please post your detailed feedback of your experience with them. only such feedbacks wil motivate others to go.
on similar lines, I have seen some people persistently promote another garage, although it was backed by a few detailed reports/feedbacks

I have my Baleno fitted with Electra FFE. Very impressed. In Kolkata, Amitrajit(Sunny) sells Electra FFE. It costs somewhere around 17 k here. Maybe a little less in Chennai, but I dont think the difference would be 5k
