Default Souping up a 2001 Lancer. Is it worth spending?

My idea of souping up my 2001 Lancer SFXi

1. Go for Stage 1 Mods, viz a FFE and a CAI filter
2. Go for a completely new body kit or touch-up the exisiting SFXi bodykit
3. The driver side door and the right side passenger door need some dent work, looks minimal to me.
4. Get a new paint job. Perhaps a different color altogether. Is it advisable?

I recollect seeing Swapnil's (swapzone) Lancer on the forum and was totally blown by the looks of his car. Something like that is what I yearn for.

What kind of hole in my pocket would all this make? Any pointers? I could do it in a staged manner instead of going for all at once. But I am determined to get these done sooner than later because I am not selling her anytime soon (I was keen on a Palio 1.6 stile after a decent price for my Lancer, but that has not materialised and I am not interested in any other new car right now).

Will all this dhin-chak work render the used car value to nothing when I want to sell it off say in another 1-2 years timeframe.

Help highly appreciated.
