Yet another modded Bolero!-dsc01438.jpgHi,

I am planning to give my Bolero a paintjob in matte desert tan/olive and also want to change the wheel arches when I get it done. I have seen LR Defenders with slightly protruding wheel arches made of indestructible plastic.

My questions:
1. Where in Bangalore can I get a good matte paintjob done?
2. Can LR Defender wheel arches (TerraFirma Extra Wide Wheel Arch Kit) be fit onto the Bolero?

Here are some pics of my Bolero as of now.Yet another modded Bolero!-dsc01440.jpg

Try and get 235/70/15 Geolandars; they give a mean look and work well.

What do you mean by headlamps?? projectors with HID? or just bulb upgrade??

Dear Josepeter,
Your thread has been super inspiring! Great job with the Bolero. I will be taking delivery of a ZLX end of next month and I've started doing some research on how these cars can be modded. Yours is by far the most tastefully done car on the forums. I will keep you guys posted on the progress!

I haven't seen any mods on the lines of the G-Wagen. Smart bullguard in matte black+Xenon headlamps+leather seats kind of livery. That would look great I think.

Cheers

Dear Josepeter,

This thread is where I sleep, eat and walk. I was glued on from the very beginning. I was searching for a used Bolero and man!, this thread changed the way I look at a Bolero. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful experience and yes you have led my way. My Bolero's story coming right up.

Hope to meet you sometime.

Respect and love,

Nik.

Its actually unbelievable that even after so many years, this thread inspires gearheads to build their dreams!! The Bolero is a shining example of a car that is so plain jane in its factory avatar, but turns into something so desirable with what is in essence very subtle and low-cost mods. I hear there is a new Bolero out next year, hope Mahindra doesnt soften and sanitise the beast too much. If they can package the interiors well and reatin the rugged looks...why not do it once more?
