just got 3m sunfilm installed in my innova. got it done this evening so i will have to see whether it was worth the 4.8k. vkool was about 7.8k.

this was only the front windscreen. i had got the windows installed a couple of months ago. i got it installed from bharat car radio at worli naka.

i got lumar dark tint for my front windscreen....i upgraded to 90/100 bulbs and also have hella fog lamps .......so driving is ok at nights...

Hey Guys,

I am from Bangalore. Please Help me out in finding a Good Sun Film for my Swift. I am Looking for a best sun film which will give me maximum heat rejection without being too dark. I can spend up to Rs8000/- for the same.

I did some research, Looked around few sunfilm dealers in bangalore but couldnt get a good one. Please Let me know the Address of few geneune sunfilm dealers if anyone knows. I checked in couple of places here is the details.

V-COOL:

For front Glass: V-Cool Premium1 92% heat rejection - Rs9000/
For Side and rear: V-Cool Premium 94% heat rejection - Rs13300/
For Side and rear: V-Cool Economy 64% heat rejection - Rs5500/

I felt this is very expensive, May be the dealer is telling me more price. Can anyone comment on this?

COOL - TINT:

For front Glass: Premium - Rs5000/
For Side and rear: Premium - Rs4500/

How is this brand? has anyone knows about this? about heat rejection % ? that guy says me, it rejects 90% of heat, i dont have idea, it does or not?

My friend got it done for 4400/- on Saturday. This was the economy brand. Shop was Infra Kool Solutions on Lalbagh Road.

Yes it is expensive. But I felt it was worth the price. V-Kool prices are pretty much at that range. My friend and myself got it done an Infra Kool Solutions on Lalbagh Road. He's the wholesale distributor for Karnataka. He's got a price list with him and if you want you can compare across shops. He'll give a 5% discount with bill and 10% without !!

Car Shingar also deals with V-kool.

Its not only heat rejection, but IR and UV protection that you also need to take care of. They damage your car interiors and can cause irritation to some people's skin also.

if you can spend only 8000 for all the windows get 3m. i have 3m re35 on my side and rear windows and it does a great job. 3m also has front windscreen sunfilm. i dont know why your dealer told you 3m dosent have it. i have it installed on my innova. check out my gallery for pics. it should cost you about 8k with all windows including front windscreen.

thanks for the reply. Yes i did go to "Infra Cool solutions" and "Car Shringar"

All together "Infra Cool solutions" guy coated me Rs14450/ and "Car Shringar" guy's coat was "Rs13250/" for the same type of films.
I was impressed by "Infra Cool solutions" person, the way he explained,his setup etc.. I would like to go with him. Can i still bargain with him? How about the warranty if he doesn't give the bill?
Do tell me your observation about the VCOOL film in your car compared to others.

I got your PM too. I've replied extensively to that. Don't want to do it again here. Would look like I'm marketing v-kool ! Tell the Infra Kool solutions guy that Car Shringar is quoting lesser prices and lets see what he says.

I got a 3M film installed in my Santro from Milan Subway.

I paid 1800 for the windscreen and 1600 for the side windows and the rear window.

The other options included Garware for 400 for the side windows and a company called Johnson starting at 2200 for the side windows. V Kool started at around 4000 and went up to 15500 for a film that offered 99% heat rejection

errr.. i think you got fooled. 3M does not work out that cheap unless yours is a mini car with ultra small windows.
