@s0uljah: Llumar PP70's visibility is only 68% not exact 70%. And PP60 is only 57% visibility. Llumar dealer in Bangalore told me that only AIR75 meets the legal specifications for the Windshield film. He quoted 5,500 for AIR75. AIR 75 rejects 39% solar energy and 99%UV.

You can also consider some alternatives like
1. Huper Optik's Klar 70 - Rs.6350/- (70% Visibility; 46% Solar energy rejected)
2. Klar70ST- Rs.4500/-(70%Visibility; 37% Solar energy rejected)

Huper Optik also have Klar75 & Klar 85 which are 75% & 85% visibility respectively (if you want to be very cautious about cops catching you for the sunfilm.. )

3. V-Kool70 will cost you about Rs.7700/- for normal. V-Kool70 premium will cost about 9k (thanks Naveen @Navenchan for the cost info).

Happy hunting...and do let us know which sunfilm you finalized on?

Cheers!

@Vaspro, thanks for the pricing and options!

Iv installed LLumar Black 50 on the sides+rear.

Slightly cautious about the cop situation as I might be taking the car to Bombay fro a while. In Bangy no one gives a damn, I know people running jet black on front+sides+rear. No issues till date.

Where can I go and check out Huper Optik ?

I had installed VKool worth 11000 on the windshield just 6 months back.

Today I was following a lorry carry metal stones. I was close to the lorry and saw some metal stones falling down. Later discovered that the windshield is broken by a stone and a long crack on the copassenger side.

I am going to claim insurance for windshield. The VKool dealer has promised to give new film. Will keep you guys posted.

I think that vkool and huper optic have 70% visible transmission films that have different IR rejection capability. Huper Optic Klar 70 has 87% IR rejection while vkool 70 has 94% IR rejection.
I personally do not understand what other component of solar energy causes us to feel the heat (that is, other than IR and UV).
Huber or V-Kool for car windows?
Opulent (87% IR, 46% Solar Energy)
V-Kool (94% IR, 55% Solar energy)

The vkool website does not mention a vkool 70 premium. What is the difference between a vkool 70 and a vkool 70 premium, in terms of IR rejection, total solar energy rejection and visible light transmission.

Yes, that would be about it for the Swift. The sides and rear would be the tinted ones and the front one would be the Premium variant. If you want Premium brand all around then the cost would almost double.

I got Air75 from Lumar for my front glass spending 6K. I think it is giving a good cooling effect but I have a hell of a lot of glare while driving at night. There is also a kind of "shift" of objects on certain locations in the glass while driving in broad daylight. The representative from Lumar came to check the vehicle but did nothing to change the film. He keeps saying that the problem should be with the glass which I am not prepared to accept!! The dealer (naturally, of course!) recommended that it is good for the front glass but now says some other brand would have been better

Anyone having similar experience with film on front glass?
