In the process making other drivers blind! Sorry to be blunt, but I hate high beams, more so with illegally high wattage bulbs. (BTW, I never use high beam in city as such, and even otherwise only if required. Similarly, never forget to put my headlamps into high beam the moment somebody else's lights distract me, it just happens subconsciously!)

IIRC, the Garware cost around 4-5k for everything except the front windscreen, the Air75 won't give you any such problems, I have adequate visibility at night to spot trucks running without lights and reflectors on unlit highways, even while running on low beam at upwards of 100kmph.

you're right it is quite embarassing when you get dirty looks from oncoming drivers. i heard the air 75 is the lightest shade so i guess i will have to replace the PP60 with Air 75!.

I got Llumar Air80 installed on the windshield of my 3 week old i10 Sportz a couple of days back. It is even more clearer than the AIr75 and has slightly better specs than the Air75 in terms of IR rejection and Total Heat rejection. I got the install done from the LLumar showroom situated at S.V Road just besides Autovista, Bandra The film+install cost me around 8k and its well worth it. i was getting AIR75 for 6.5k but i decieded to take the plunge and go ahead with the newer and better AIR80.

I also installed Black20 tints for sides + rear for approx 2k.

A word of advice. please install sun-films from the authorised distributors who specialise in sun-film install. They might cost a franction more than the friendly accessory stores like in (Milan Subway, Mumbai) but the install quality is way better.

Cheers

Doesn't AIR80 have a somewhat bluish tint?

I don't know if this is the right thread to ask this question, but here it goes.

I have booked a Ritz Zxi and want to put sunfilm on all the windows and rear/front windscreens. I have heard good things about 3M and llumar on this thread and elsewhere. I am totally confused right now as to what should I get for my car. I don't want to put anything that is illegal.

Here's what I need to know -
  • Which sunfilm to go for
  • Quotes for the sunfilm in Bangalore
  • Good shop to get the sunfilm installed in Bangalore
Please help.
