| Hello Coloneljasi, Thank you so much for your comments. Even I prefer an original steering wheel but, driving would be difficult with that one as it would definitely brush against my lap. Regards, Sudhir. |

| BHPian | Conty Club India's Coonoor Chapter had a fabulous meet, on the 28th of May 2012. 2 newspapers featured the event which itself was a grand success. people were astonished to see 11 contessa's roaring over the ghat roads. the event was honoured by mr.rajanikanth, RTO of namakkal, who happens to be a vintage car owner posessing a 1949 hillman in immaculate condition. the main credit of the event organisation goes to mr.armaan salick who was assisted by mr.naga roadking and mr.noor mohamed. pics courtesy from facebook account of mr.armaan, and ashwin kumar of coonoor and coimbatore respectively. Guys, you rocked but a small but serious request - dont ever race in a convoy, like you did in the 2nd part of the event, just bcoz you might scratch/dent your beauty(contessa), LOL... |

I need to have some small repairs done asap, power steering added and if possible source a isuzu diesel engine. Not sure if this is the right place to be posting it, but will appreciate any information. Thank you so much in Advance. |

| A few days ago i got a call from Mike. He said "Can you take my conty for a drive. Its been a month since i have taken her out. Pick the keys from home". My heart was pounding as i flew towards my destination thanking heavens for my good luck. I reached the place in no time and after a long walk inside the compound, my heart skipped a beat when i saw her. There she lies in all her grandeur shining like a cobra in the moonlight. I couldn't believe myself for a second that i will be taking her out for a drive. I just stood there staring at her silently. It took a lot of courage to open the door and get inside. It smelled the smell of a new car. The smell of leather and a sweet perfume. Even after a month, it started in half a crank with no fuss. I was extra careful that day so that my shoes don't soil the carpet. I slowly brought her out of the building and onto the street. As soon as i was on the street, i could sense the surroundings. I bet, not a single person was looking anywhere else but her. She handles like a breeze, runs like a horse and smells like an angel. What can i ask for on a lazy weekend. And here is she... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you mike. Regards, Krishna. |

| Had a lucky weekend there @krishna. Is the Mike you talking about called @Miyer. Because AFAIR he also had a black Conti with white inner wheel arches. Though a die hard Conti lover (it being the reason why am a TBHPian now),couldn't get to properly know her in metal, except a crappy old diesel one that i Tded for a short distance. ![]() So anyone with free time please do a TBHP style review or atleast a full photoshow. ![]() |
