Pic looks nice! but to capture perfect reflection shots in the sun, position your car such that you can see the reflection of any desired structure or object that is illuminated by the sun on your black waxed paint! that image in the paint will produce great reflections! Similarly, the reflection of anything illuminated by the sun, will look great in a well maintained black paint! keep up the good work! ![]() Last edited by sohail99 : 17th February 2011 at 16:47.

^Good point about capturing reflections ! As shown below ! That's my Silver Swift after a first coat of Colly 845 - silver ain't a snazzy color for deep reflections. Quite ironically, among the cars that I have owned which include a gas-guzzling Impala and a white Honda Civic, I've spent more time detailing my Swift over the past year !

Well finally got some time to post the pics clicked after a quick wash followed by drying, post rains so technically the car has been washed twice after detailing . I hope the pics do indicate the effect of Collinite rather than showcasing the car. Well the method followed by me was the usual Wash- dry- polish- wax- Seal with Colly 845. Clay wasn't used as the surface was smooth enough to skip this step.

This morning got down to doing up my baby. I had clayed the car 4 weeks ago and polished with Turtle Wax super hard shell. and you can see the results here http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...ml#post2273466 The shine was still there today after I washed the car with Turtle Zip Wax but the feel of the paint finish was not smooth. So I took out the bottle of collinite, a damp clean cloth and polished the car panel by panel after allowing the wax to haze slightly. It was easy to buff off with a MF cloth and took me an hour. BUT the results were fabulous, not so much as the shine but the FEEL of the paint finish was super smooth and silky. (reminded me of Katerina Kaif in the Veet hair removing ad where the cloth slides down her legs )I applied it to the bumper, window glass, rear glass and ORV mirrors. The glass also took on this super smooth effect. I didn't have the gall to apply to wind shield as had a bad experience with some liquid silicone polish on my matiz windshield which caused everlasting streaks. No pics as they wouldn't do justice, the feel is something to experience. Lets see how long it lasts. Thanks to all on this forum for help in locating, buying and knowledge in applying this great product

Based in recommendation, placed the order with Auto-mall.in for Collinite 845. The product was promptly delivered next day by DTDC, however bottle's cap was punctured and there was nearly 35-40% of contents was leaked. On feedback to auto-mall.in through ebay.in, without any further queries very promptly, couriered the another bottle of Collinite 845, with microfiber in next 2 days. I appreciate doing business with such highly customer centric seller. Thanks for the reference. ![]() Last edited by manjubp : 19th April 2011 at 22:21. | |

All those of you who have used the best from Collinite please could you do a test for me. On one half of the bonnet of your car lets say the right side use Collinite 845 and on the other half use the ordinary Waxpol cake wax. After 2 months do the water bead test and do let us all know which wax lasted the longest. Thank You.

Got myself a bottle of 845 from Auto-Mall. Before I go ahead and use it on my rides, I would like to know if the 845 can be used on stainless steel parts of bikes like handles, silencers (Rx100) and alloy wheels of cars ? Last edited by donarun : 20th April 2011 at 07:51.

Remember Colinite-845 is a heat resistant insulator wax. I have been using it for last 10 months, I have used it on bike steel parts like silencers, car alloys even glass windshields apart for painted body panels to good effect. Though I would not advise you to use it on unpainted plastic and acrylic parts.
