Any suggestions for the rear spoiler? i got no intention of going in for a stock spoiler though. Intend to get something a little more extended but not with too much protrusion. Guess black would be the way to go since I also plan on getting black skirts and bumper lips. Planning on picking up the wheels and the rubber by tomorrow morning. Shall post a few pics after that. Don't intend to get them on till the rest of the work is done though. Keeping my fingers crossed and praying to the one above that my search for the ideal wheels and rubber gets to see a happy ending tomorrow. Shall post once Im back tomorrow. Cheers and happy motoring

Depends on what type of spoiler you have in mind. What I would suggest is not too small and not too big, It should also match the skirtings that you will add to your car.

Somthing like this will look sweet.

update

Paint job done. New seat covers and door pads. New set of alloys and rubber. Thought I should post some pics. Here they are. Have not mounted the new wheels on to the car as yet. Got a few good reviews for the new upholstery.

This is what happens next
New plugs
Plug Wires
New coil
Customized FFE
Air Filter
Synthetic Engine Oil
Skirts
Spoiler
New headlamps
Smoked Tail lamps
Good ICE (if my total fund outflow does not exceed budgeted outflow )

and most importantly a good service which has been long overdue

Guys .. Please comment on the pics

@petrol head,

nice leather work and color choice.
Paint job looks great, specially with the door handles and mirrors painted.
Not a fan of those wheels, looks too crowded with spokes, but im quite sure that they'll look good once installed in the car.

All the best with the WHAT HAPPENS NEXT part.

@ P_H:

Nice work there! The interiors looks nice. But the finish could have been better. I see some rough edges in the 1st pic of the drivers seat.

The wheels should look cool when its bolted on to the car! The paint job is neat.

Just checked ur PM! Will give you a buzz by tomorrow

Thanks Pal.
There is still another coat of polishing that is due in a few days.
I tried one wheel on the car before paying for it and it did look neat. Besides there are not many choices with wheels bearing 108 PCD. Ill post a few pics once its done. I'm sure you would like it. Or maybe when you are down at Chennai or when I am at Bangalore you could get a better look. All the mods would be through by then I guess.

The covers are not fitted the way its meant to be as yet. Got them draped on top to take a few pics. Need to get them fitted closer still. Guess those edges would get ironed out then. The door pads are still hanging loose. Not clipped on completely as yet. Would get it done and post a few pics.

and by the way... if I do not take attend the call. Just send a message across. Sometimes I get into a bad habit of not picking up unknown numbers . Call anytime dude.

BINGO !!!
That is exactly what I had in mind. Wanted something that looks exactly like that one on the OHC. Thanks Pal Would stick to black for the spoilers and skirts. Think it would go well with the 'predominantly black' wheels as well. Would want to maintain an overall rough dull tone to the car with not much chrome or flash outside. I think it makes the car look mean.

A little off topic but just curious. Guess a 'Chennai TBHP meet' is happening some time soon. Saw something on the related thread. How many of you are on for it?

You can smoke what ever you like..

All you need is a 200 buck spraycan of flat black or matte black.
And then get the look.

@dan,
love the way you've smoked the headlights.
Do you get any beam of light out of those smoked head lights at night?

30% light comes out of those. Only good part is that it looks good. Easy to put on and easy to remove.

It is actually at Akkarai; a few km after VGP but before the next checkpost. next to a customized swimming pool fabricator.

So the practicality of spraying your head lights comes down to 30% as well eh? I guess then it does not make much sense smoking the headlamps since the ikon lights have always been terrible.

How about the angel eyes for the Ikon. It would look awesome dude

Ford Fiesta MK5 Black Angel Eye Projector Headlights :: Essex Racing: car accessories, tuning, parts, styling

With the SXi bumper, you would have the best looking Ikon!

Dude, I doubt if the ones mentioned in the link would fit the ikon. You will notice a distinct difference in the curve pattern. I guess the Fiesta MK5 was identical to what we call the ikon. Though the link you sent says MK5 it still looks a little different. Ill get that checked anyway.
