That's true, the box didn't last. But then again, neither did the GT. So in an application, the GT box is only as strong/weak as the Balenos. Except for the rally cars -- and we all know how they're driven -- I haven't seen anyone bust a Baleno box and then be satisfied with much else.

Don't remember, somewhere in South BLR.

A strut brace with an engine stabilizer is good if you can get your hands on it. I am talking something like the one from Suzitech.

This gearbox thing is very controversial. It all boils down to how you drive. Thats why you have a controversy over how much boost you can run on stock internals. Both these factors are dependant on how much you abuse the car. I would always pick the values to be on the safer side. Better be safe than sorry.

Would it be possible to add and LSD to the Baleno? Would it be of any significant use?

Would it be possible to convert it into an RWD or an AWD? I think there is a variant of the Baleno with AWD.

Phantom Grip LSD is available for the Baleno. I dont know if its of any significant use, unless you are running some serious boost.

I also have heard of a AWD baleno but dont konw much about it.

Yes, LSD is available for the baleno. So is the AWD kit. But very expensive and needs a lot of manual work to make the conversion. Doubt anyone in India is capable of doing such a conversion atleast as of now.

And this thread is taken a complete U-turn . No more discussing mods on a baleno. A B16 OHC its going to be.

Ha ha. Time to change the thread title then

And quickly before this becomes OT, can the Baleno be converted into RWD? Here, in India?
