Thumbs down May be not

I just spoke with a dealer. The old rate is still good till 5PM IST today. ZXi delivery date takes about 3-4 months!. Also, I noticed lots of bad reviews within two weeks!.

Now I am thinking of waiting to make the final decision. I just cannot convince myself over the problem of bootspace.

Are you back in Bangalore? Don't book the Swift (or any other car) without a test drive. Everybody wants different things from their car, you won't know whether the car meets your need until you test drive personally.

Samurai: No, I am still in Boston, should be in Blore by end of Aug. I spoke to the dealer over the phone. My family will return to Blore next month and I needed to have a car for them. I was very uncomfortable with remote decision.

But, now I will follow your advice and buy only after I return.

dude!

try and change your tyres before your odo clocks 100 kms. this will help you get a better deal for them...that's if you plan to exchange them for a new set.

Grrrrrr, just checked up with my dealer here and now he says he can't deliver before end August. Maruti's handing out some sort of a quota system and here in Sikkim it's 4 Swift per month, as per the dealer. I booked the Zxi model on the 30th of May and was initially told that I'd get it delivered by End June, then Mid July and now... Also, when my nomberr comes up, ( I'm supposed to be the 10th in line) they can't promise me my color choice and will have to give me whatever is sent by the company. If I refuse, I get passed by and the next-in-line get;s it. This is really bugging.

Seriously considering visiting the Hyundai showroom. A Properly done-up top of the line Getz in white with better alloys and tubeless rubbers and Airbags+ ABS dosen't seem such a bad idea suddenly.

@Fahad, read all those fine print in your warranty card and clarify all your doubts with your dealer guy before venturing into mods.
