Stiffer rear suspension for Marina?
My cousin has a diesel Indigo Marina, and he uses it extensively to carry his scuba diving gear around. With the rear seats folded, he gets ample room to fit all the things he needs.
However, he is facing a problem with the rear suspension, when the car is fully loaded. The body sinks really low when loaded, and the rear suspension bottoms out with every pothole and speed breaker.
Hence he is on the lookout for a stiffer suspension setup. He is willing to replace the current shock-absorbers, but he is not sure what the replacement should be.
One of the suggestions he had received from a mechanic was to fit an additional bush at the top of the springs, but this would only solve the body sinking problem. The suspension will still bottom out. So he is not really keen on this.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
P.S. I don't have much details on the model and make, but it is diesel, with 71k on the odo. Majority of his running is in Goa, but the vehicle is in Pune for another month or so.

most feasible option is to play around with the suspension spring constants and damper stiffnesses - you'll need someone who knows how to do that.
