Post 1997 Mercedes-Benz S500 (W140)

Don't have may pictures of this car (unfotunately), and the ones I do have are a little blurred.
It was a '97 model which was replaced with the newer S-Class in 2003. Took a few pictures before it was sold.
The car was Royal and had an amazing street-presence. My pictures do not do justice to this beauty.

Hope you enjoy them anyways....

Post 2003 Mercedes-Benz S500 4Matic (W220) - 1

This car replaced the W140.
It's a 2003 S500 4MATIC (AWD) - W220 series.
Not many people seem to like this new design (some call it the Bangled version of the S), however, no matter what - a Merc is a Merc and an S-Class has a different world of its own.
After the merc-bashing topic put up on tbhp a while ago, I was wondering whether I should post pics of this car but I'm sure there are people who still enjoy a Mercedes for what it is.
Just to point out - after 2 years there has been only a small radio fault (the system was replaced promptly by MB USA under warranty at no charge - standard 4year/50,000mile). Other than that it drives like a dream. The AWD is a bit hard on gas but then this car is rarely driven to the city so not a huge loss.
Enjoy the pics - they're blurred too - lighting conditions weren't right and I had a shaky hand... even so -

ps. sorry for the MANY pics but I love cars too much that whenever I'm around one I can't stop clicking

I dont think that Bangle is doing anything wrong at all. In fact, he is just an out of the box thinker - we all know the line, right? Dent my car, it'll just add to the looks. And why not? Its just that everyone is used to angles and straight lines on cars, and especially well placed ones ona Merc. But all he's doing is opening up the desgn areas again, so that now that it looks like we've exhausted our lines, we can start to explore curves. Its a different issue that he works for BMW and the Merc is 'associated' with him, but I think that its the way to go - not necessarily HIS style, but generally, to move on and do something new.

P.S. - LOVE THE MERC!!!!!! It is drop-dead gorgeous!!!

I get mine from CJ Francis. That is actually owned by Millenium Motors, who own the skoda dealership and Chandra Hyundai too...

Let me know if you need something from there. We can bargain quite a bit and get it done. I get tires for all my cars from them only.

They have HR, KC, League, Aura, Neo and Traxx alloys. In tires they stock most of the brands. If it is not available, they'll get it in a day or two's time. They will be cheaper than the other dealers in coimbatore.

I'll PM you my mobile number.
