I'm using 205/55/R15 on a lowered swift(155 mm GC) the tyres are not scraping the wheelwells.
Car's running nicely, coming up to the 40k service.
Mileage on the last tankful is 16kmpl inspite of being very enthusiastic with the go pedal for the thrills I get. I run 50-70kms per day through rush hour traffic, and the added acceleration helps a lot in getting away from confused commuters not knowing what to do when the light turns green or when they see the road ahead of them free from miles

195\55R15 is a correct upsize for getz,so it doesnot mean its correct for swift too.

195\60R15 or 205\55 R15 but 205 would be a slight overkill
a lot more than you have bro !!

and i don't know why are we getting in stupid discussion!!

again akshay we ae discussing about lowered swift and not regular swift... please go ahead and try 195/60 R15 filled with 5 passengers in it and you will know...

Rippergeo good to know that, Enjoy !!

When can I TD a swift with 195/55 R15?
By the way, there are 2 swifts in our family. One running on 195/60 R15 and second 205/55 R16 without any problems.

I think the sizes abhi and akshay posted are correct upsizes.
P.S. The 205/55 R16 is lowered. My cousin belongs to the bling bling ricerboy family (strobes anyone?)

Lol -I dont know how you came to conclusion that you have driven a lot more may be you dreamt
Ripper's swift is already running on 205\55

And FYI I did a 200Km drive on a Swift with 205\60\R15 A wrong upsize i know but still tyres were not scraping anywhere with 5 heavy people and luggage on board.
That was not lowered though but still I stick to the earlier fact i had posted.

The one running on 205/55 R16 is lowered. The other one's stock. Sadly not being a shutterbug, I don't have any pics of the lowered swift. But next time my cousin comes here, you are up for RIP TD.
P.S. AWFUL ride on that car!

He's mentioned he's getting 16 kmpl.

Though we are OT, I guess there are 2 users here white_vdi and Amey, who both run 195/55/R15, though I think neither of them is lowered.

I did consider 195/55 but eventually settled for 205/55.

I am using 205/55/15's on my swift, never ever had any issues of scrapping wheel well or anything at all. It is perfectly safe to use this size.

Cheers

205 /55 is will not touch fenders but 195/60 will as height of the tyre will be too much for a lowered vehicle ..

this is what am trying to explain here !!

LMAO
Dude that was one recent trip,And I personally know, how many kms of driving experience you have.
I think you need to open your eyes to read what is written.
And the so called lowered swift is happily running on 205\55\R15
and chiragh no need to explain to anyone as these tyres would run well on rippers swift too, nothing can be proved,by just being a keyboard tyre guru.

anyways I am outta here.
We will take this offline
