Actually , I am opting for a semi military type one but with big wheels.

Color was selected as orange before , but now we are planning to paint it military green.

The color is not yet decided though.

Tomorrow I will be towing it to the Mechanic to install the power steering.

I think it can be installed , Actually I am not a techie in the case of power steering installation.

But the workshop person told me that there are 2 ways to install it.

We can install it out side of the hood (which is comparitively a easy work and easy to maintain too) , For jeeps just behind the front bumper.

We can install it inside the hood (comparitively a task which takes time)
If we install it inside the maintanance will be an issue , the leakage of the fluid can not be idendififed easily , if we install it out side we can make quick checks.

But if we install it out side , you know a negaligible issue with rain and water may go inside if the seal is weak.

A small accident may affect the steering box.

I opted to install it inside the hood.

Gurus , I just have very little knowledge in this domain , please correct me if I am wrong and throw some light , so that the light may lead me.

Attaching some of the photos of the JEEP.

I just did not had a plan to buy or modify a JEEP , but eventually the urge for the JEEp was developed in me.

After all its just for a passion, nothing serious , if my dad coes to know about it he will throw me out of the home.

But still after seeing all the Jeeps in the Team bhp , we started searching for the jeep and managed to get one.

Actually to fill a passion lot of money have to be pumbed in. there was a great delay in arranging the bucks , but with gods grace we managed it.

Actually I was not able to belive my self that the Jeep is getting ready.

We never had plans to install teh power steering , but its getting installed now , Thats what we say gods grace.

At last its getting ready.

Hey foby,

Its shapping up well, I wish you could have reduced the wheel base a bit.

Any plans of converting it into 4x4?

The tub looks little rusted, instead of patch work you could have gone for a new one , costs about 18K if i remember correctly, with all the patchwork it will surly go over the price for a new one.

OT: Saw those alloys you posted at pattalam market this friday, went there to get some tyres for a friend. The price quoted is obscene for a set of used corolla alloys they were quoting 11k and for new 15"(simple and old design)25k. I just walked out of the market after hearing the price quotes. All the tyres are regrooved/retreaded, highly dangerous. Its better to avoid that market at all costs.

I just have good contacts in pattalam market , the patch work costed me very less when compared to buying a new tub. This jeep will be an experiment for me , no plans to install 4x4 now.
