Default K&N Filters... help needed

Hey guys,

All the modifiers out there gotta explain something to me. I know that the filters allow more air into the engine, and more power, etc etc, but does the car really climb up the revs better? Faster? Wat about the sound? Does it change the induction noise in any way?
Besides that, I'm interested in putting one in my WagorR. Shes stock at the moment and will remain so apart from the filter.
Does it make sense putting one in? Will I really feel the difference? I've never driven a car with the filter as the only modd.

Hoping to clear these doubts up>>>>

hey,

I can vouch that the car gets definitely more peppier and climbs revs faster besides improving the FE. I have a conical filter in my Santro Xing which is performing beautifully. The suction sound is awesome and the car sounds and feels great at revs over 4k. FE has improved by 1.5kmpl driven normally and remains the same(read 10kmpl in city as before filter) driven hard.

dude ...the induction note sounds soo sweeet you fall in love with it ...
the car will surely feel a bit rev happy ..
..it should give you around 2-5% increase in horsepower with just an air filter alone.. free flow your wagon R if you really want to see the difference in performance ..

Where are these K&N Filters available from.. How much do they cost.

Is there different models for different cars?

Are there any B or C segmant cars that come with these filters fitted as stock.

Thanks,

I definitely want to get one of those for the Swift.I could do with a FE/Performance boost.

Got a New Baleno just 3 days ago. Do you recommend replacing it's stock filter..

Any idea about approximate costs.

The 3" universal conicaql filters will cost approx 3.5k. Fitting is normally free unless you want an aluminium intake which I think some guys sell for 1k. Fitting time is 10-15min max.

There are plenty of people in Mumbai who sell the same(I am one of them). The OE replacements are more expensive and vary from approx 4k to 15k depending on the car.
