Exterior Detailing Review : Mazda Motors

Pervez @ the Mazda Motors body shop runs a tight ship. His clientelle includes premium brand authorised service stations who send customer cars there for paint jobs.

Thanks to BHPian "Mad Monkey" for the contact. I've tried out 5 different exterior detailers in the last 3 years, but no one was able to give me the "liquid" exterior finish that Pervez manages with his polishing job. His pricing is premium (Rs. 5,500 for the exterior detailing) but well worth it for a premium car. Time taken = 2 days with 2 / 3 people working on the car at all times.

As in my Interior Detailing Review, I shall let the results speak for themselves. Again, does she look like a 4.5 year old 60,000 kms car running factory paint?

1. where is the place located? Is it the petrol pump next to Not Just Jazz? (judging by the pics)

2. Would this also take care of minor scratches on the car that have resulted in a paint peel or that's beyond the scope of an exterior job such as this.

Although 5500 is steep for just an exterior job, but Parvez's pricing have always been on the higher side albeit he does deliver a quality job at his own pace and time I got my alloys painted from him few months back.

2 days is a long time for a polishing job. He Do they offer to come over to your place and do it at all ?

What brand of products does he use?

Freakingly impressive 4.5 yr old black finish there

And do thank a little to the Merc's paint quality too.

I'd assume the rate to be a little economical for a Hatch ?

Car looks clean! But how is this treatment with swirl marks, cant make out through pictures?

Yup, its on the not just jazz main road.

Minor scratches = gone. Paint peel will require touching up.

His quality of work is sweet. But yes, pricing is premium. That's why I mentioned premium cars. My humble OHC gets a local job instead.

All in the attention to detail . Nope, you have to send your car across to him.

Some german stuff (waxes & treatment). Shine lasts long.

Merc's age very well. Recent 400 km highway trip and my exact comment was "This car feels EXACTLY the same as it did when new". No rattle, no squeak, tight suspension, steering, gearshift all feel the same.

Further on Merc's paint quality and Pervez's expertise, the car you see is parked under the morning sun. Every working day.

Lastly, how about some credit to the owner for maintaining this car well

Picture taken within 24 hours of the car coming back. Pervez is a thorough professional (and an articulate Parsi), I doubt he'd send any car back with swirl marks.

Without a doubt Sir.
A caring owner is what keeps such a prestine condition car in the first place. Everything else comes next.

OT -
I saw a couple of shows on the Discovery? channel recently, where they showed the entire manufacturing and assembly of a BMW and a Corvette. Dont remember the model numbers. The Corvette btw was claimed to have some 504 horses and did a 0-100 in first gear itself / like 3.5 secs ! If that was not enough, the highway FE was claimed at like 10 kmpl !

Anyways, the process, cleanliness and care they follow for the paint work (7 odd paint layers) and clear coats, on these cars, makes you wonder its more preciously handled than gold is (at the local jewellers shop).

I was quite sure GTO had posted the tardeo skyline upside down and inverse... Then realised it was just the Hood Pic. Wow, amazing work and happy that it lasts.

Ok one advice, get the purest wax available and make a protective layer now itself. So that this gloss stays for long, one thing the old man has taught me and i did after getting the 3M job done.

Nice ! I would recomend a car-bra if you do a lot of highway trips.

I have so much stone damage on my front bumper lower although it shows up more due to the light colour.
