Seat overhaul

With over three years of use the seat of my Tata indica has kinda bogged down. It was not very good on under thigh support to begin with, and with time lumbar support is also vanishing. Is there any modification availale for seating which can enhance neck/lumbar and under thigh support? Any ideas about cost of such modifications and where can i get them in NCR

Hey Buddy,

All you need to do is go to any good car upholstery shop(the ones who make seats) and tell them to restuff your seat exactly how you want using good quality foam. Don'n know much about the neck part though. If you have to replace the upholstery using art leather or fabric total cost including stuffing should not cost you more than 4-5 k.

Thats what it costs in Mumbai at least.

Yeah viper told u the right stuff, repadding and new fabric on the seats, we do it normally for 7-10k depending upon the type of fabric/artificial leather u want to use.

It is 7-10K per seat or both the seats. Leather is a strict no no, i want to stick to cotton because in a black car leather is suicidal in delhi(Have expirience with getz!). Also is it possible to give contours for lumbar and under thigh support?

Hey Buddy,

The cost is for all the seats(front and rear). You have to explain to the person doing the job what you want and it will be done accordingly.

People i have a pair of pseudo sparco fiberglass shells [non-recliner] and was wondering who would be able to upholster them for me, in the market place thread .rs. is sellin a pair of recaros for 11.5k and thats got me wondering if the upholstery would be worth it or if i should simply go in for the recaros!!!!!

Help, specially someone from pune who would have the slightest hint of a good upholstery guy!!!

what ever option you take,, just ask him to use high density foam,, that will help you in the long run,,

I saw the G-sport range, the designs and finish looked pretty good and I think the basic range starts of at 5.5k.

v1p3r, are the seats back from the guy yet ?
