I have read here that its possible to fit a 185/70 R14 (Zxi) wheel on a Vdi rim. Would it be possible to fit a 195/65 on those stock rims?

Jaggu has 195/65-14 tyres on ZXi alloys.

So I am postponing the complete exhaust system to a later stage. As of now, I am planning a good end can with decent note. Any good brand which is affordable? I am confused with lot of brands (mainly chinese/malaysian/taiwan types).

I will be fixing the Wind on 13th. So if there's any suggestion on a free flow muffler please let me know. I will be at Cochin for the Wind installation and a good place at Cochin for mufflers are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Default Gree Wind Filter

Hi All,

Yesterday went to Pete's and fixed Green Cotton Wind filter system with Dynamisatyion kit.

Here are some pics

Car At Petes

New SS muffler (added early)

Wind Components

Before Wind

Wind

Initial impression - there's a noticable advantage in low end. Also the RPM climbing more freely. In stop and go traffic / bumps , rollon from 2nd gear has bettered. Will post more feedback later. Yet to see the milege factor.

@Redfire: How much did the total cost come upto (including installation)? looks neat. I guess once you get your exhaust system done, you'll really notice the difference.

Ruf - the Wind with dynamisation kit costs 7350 for Petrol and 6350 for Diesel. The diesel cars have a different type of mounting and doesn't need that steel pipe, so is the reduction in price for diesel kit (I don't know the details, it is what Peter said to me - if there's someone with a DDIS Swift and Wind please post pics). These prices include all - filter, dynamisation kit, clamps and fixing.

Yes, I am waiting for some more KMs to be clocked and get next two free services done to fix Headers. As of now, I dont want to make an issue with warrenty (the dealer was OK with filter).

I drove the car this morning and the change in engine response is very much noticeable. There was a mild throttle lag below 2krpm before the Wind, and after it has been installed the lag almost disappeared. It's quite a change. The engine feels more eager to pick up revvs now! I don't know if the muffler has contributed to the setup except for that nice roar, but the whole setup is working well.

Now as an experiment we plan to remove the filter hood alongwith the dynamisation pipe and check if there's any difference in performance.CAI vs short ram intake

Its a local make, but of good quality. Nice steel and finish. Also the note is good, a slight deep note but not harsh. 4K including fixing. Got it from Cochin.
