Frankly, I had no idea that many Indian cars had the ISOFIX system. Which ones are these? I have an Aveo but have the standard 'seat belt' type infant and child seats. Honestly, haven't bothered to check though ![]() | |

| I contacted mothercare. they sell pretty good brands (britax, maxi cosi, etc.) but don't sell any models with ISOFIX feature. hmm... My guess is all cars that are in 15 Lac + price segment have ISOFIX. But I have also heard Accent and few other cars have ISOFIX. Maybe other members can post more details. PS: I wish my thread hadn't been merged. It is more about ISOFIX than childseat. |

| I bought an infant car seat from Mothercare for my one-month old (well bought it before he was born ). Now I intend using it mostly in my Wagon R (wifey's daily drive). I tried to instal it in Wagon R yesterday but couldn't really get the seat belt around it fasten it properly. Here is the one I bought from Shoppers Stop. ShoppersStop.com - Mothercare Travel Tot car seat- Optic Now I didn't try it earlier because the seat belt harnesses were all buried under the rear seat (sine they weren't being used earlier). Can anyone help me with this? I am thinking about going to MASS to ask them if they can fit a longer seat belt to accomodate the car seat? Any other suggestions? |

| This is not what you should get. For infants, rear-facing seats are recommended till they are 12-15 months old or reach a certain weight and height. Check these out at Mothercare outlets in Delhi-NCR. I picked up one of the rear-facing seats for my six-month old and he just loves it. | we have a convertible car seat which works rear facing as well as front facing once they grow up. always follow the instructions in the seat. I think 1 year or 20 pounds whichever occurs later decides when to turn them forward. recline them at les than 45 degrees. infants necks are too weak for a frontal crash if facing forward. and Congrats! |

| I saw one a couple of days back in Khan Market (several car accessories shops are there.). It might be cheaper than buying over the internet. |
