i20 could act funny while high speed cornering in stock condition.
I would prefer a stiffer suspension and a better rubber when I go for a remap. I guess the stock brake setup should do fine as it comes with all round disc brakes.

Is it possible to do this as a silent setup?? cos I really don't wish to screw up my warranty as the car is only 5 months old.

True, before remapping i would recommend for a suspension job, good rubber on an i20.
Not many will come to know if you remap your car.

Was at RRR yesterday for a dyno run. I got to check out all these car dyno reports. I have to say that TDI racing has set a new benchmark in diesel tuning.

The Cruze and the i20 just blows my mind away. Saw the i20 dyno chart also, i guess its not posted up. I wish you guys all the best and continue churning out more and more fast cars. Please keep a log chart on the kms done also.

crazy diablo, since you were at rrr yesterday and you had a look at the dyno reports, did you happen to ask them as to why the tcf was changed from 1.00 to 1.26 in case of all tdi racing dyno sheets?

Just called up Pete's, PSI Tuning box is not yet out for i20 CRDi 6-Speed. Green Cotton Replacement Filter is also not available.

I want to stay away from CAI option as of now for the warranty reasons.

Tuningboxes can also be detected. The data logger in the ECUs log on a lot more than previous generations. The EDC17 ECUs are getting extremely smart.

Can a magnum be made a 4x4?

Currently thinking of placing captiva 4x4 system in magnum.

What are all the issues that may crop up with this mod? what about reliability?

Its not gonna be that simple. Youll have to get the 4wd system, new gearbox, ECU maybe more parts. Then youll lose gound clearance with the rear driveshaft. Not worth it IMO.

Spoke to the tuner says - as captiva belongs to the same family it will not be much of a burden.

Compared captiva's 4wd system to other 4wds systems like endeavour, safari.. Captivas has a independent suspension setup like magnums so its easy to install is what tuner says.

How come other cars like lancer evo, audi or any other AWD sedans work without GC issues?

Well if your tuner can do it then thats great buddy. I'd love to see such a conversion.

Well I dont have details about the Captiva's 4WD system but I just thought that since its built for an SUV with much higher clearance if its adapted to a car the clearance would reduce.

With the Evos and all, the AWD system is built for a car itself, hence no GC problems as such.

Just my thoughts.

Don't know if the drivetrain is going to be a bolt and if it will require tons of changes under the body including the floor pan taking away the rigidity of the frame. If so it is not a risk worth taking.

Brraj, great to know that you have re-mapped your Optra to a whopping 180PS. And, also seen that a Cruze has been pumped up to 223PS.

Its been a few months now since you got these upgrades. It would be nice to hear your feedback on the difference, issues ( if any) post the re-map. Does the car smoke more now under hard accelaration?

Also, is that Cruze just with a re-map or its clutch and brakes too have been upgraded. Sorry if its already mentioned somewhere on this thread. I am also in particularly keen to know an update on how the Cruze is doing post the re-map. I am not sure if you have an update on it as well.
