Default Modified Honda City

Hey Fellow BHPinans

its been a while since I was on this thread, have been following it on and off sneaking a few peaks now and then!!

Well, to get started I own a 2005 honda city, and last month i realised it had started showing signs of aging..the ODO currently reads 1,19,975 Kms. I was faced by two questions, should I sell the car and buy a new one or just revamp that car and make it last another couple of years and just go for a bigger ride. Eventually I ended up doing both..I just became a proud owner of a white POLO 1.6

As i booked the polo and waited for the car to be delivered, I started tinkering with my Honda (old habits die hard I guess.). What started with just a repair job on the bumpers etc has now turned into a complete overhaul of the car...I have just finished with my Honda city and would like to share the first glimpse of the car with you guys.

I am not trying to promote any one or any product here, have had a few confusions for the same in the past.

Uploading the first few pics of the car, starting with an introduction of the styling..!

There are no body kits available for the Honda City Type 3/ 4...this is was got me sketching and thinking what can be possibly done with this car...its not really the modifiable typer (if you know what i mean).....I started sketching with one thing in mind..the car has to be simple, the OEM styling is not at all sporty or show any sign of agression...but whats a body change without a little sportiness in it...right??

Hence the aim was set...The car had to retain its Japanese DNA while developing a new oomph factor...!

Changes made :
- New bumpers
- New Running boards
- New Bonnet
- New Boot
- Added a new body line along the length of the car

the results are :

@torqued,
The NHC as you ve said is not so 'modifiable'.
But you've done a great job at it!
The car looks neat with just the right amount of 'aggression'. Love the subtle lines on the rear bumper.

Congrats on the result!

Well i have mixed reactions here. Liked bonnet modification. It has added muscle look to the car. IMO front bumper is bit overloaded.

You do want to check possibility to Upgrade projector head lamp assembly and tail lamps.

Good effort there. If you have the time and the moolah then try to re-design the hood if you can. Efforts are appreciated though

I do understand what you are saying, I get the same feeling at times, hopefully the new fog lamps I have decided to install will balance it out a bit

As quoted earlier, they are on the cards. Tail lamps however i would not touch, they go perfectly with te car.

The Honda is definitely looking better after the mod job. But will still wait for the completion with the projectors.
