Default Swift K-series dyno run. Only 55 BHP?

Hello Everyone.

I did a Dyno test for my Swift and was told its only giving 55bhp at wheels.

This was like a shock to me.

Has anyone done a dyno for Swift/Ritz Kseries ?

Need the graph to compare ?

Havent seen any Kseries getting Mods.

Anyone with headers on K Series ?
Does it make any difference? Have heard mixed feedback.

thanks in advance

Just 55 hp at the wheels! Thats about a 35% loss!

PS : Doesnt 'feel' that way though.

At what rpm? And how much has your vehicle run till now? Putting more details will be very helpful here.

From where did you dyno your car?. And like nitrous said, telling isn't sufficient. Where is the dyno graph/stats?.

How many runs did you have?

What dyno was it on?

What were the ambient conditions?

What fuel are you running?

How many kmis has the engine engine done?

Due to constant changes the ECU will alter fueling constantly, which doesn't show full power when doing only one run.

The poor additive quality in our fuels (world wide) piston rings get sticky, which can lead to lasses of up to 12%.

Hi ambient air temp and extreme dry air can lower power too.

55whp for a stock Swift at RRP seems ok.

A 106bhp stock VTEC does around 71whp on their dyno.

Does the RRP dyno have anything against Jap engines? The dyno on Optra looks good and whats with Swift and VTEC?

Headers should be done my Friday@RRP
Checked the Stock 1.3 swift graph too it looks mariginally better. Will have the pictures once i get the fitting and dyno done after the Headers fitting.

RRP is charging a bomb for the turbo kit. Have already spent more than expected on Headers cost .
How much does the Turbo kit cost and where can i get it done ?

to answer the last question, cost (lots of options from used to brand new or combination of new and used). Where - lot of places. check t-bhp directory.
did rrp recommend turbo kit on the k-series ? or did they include something on the engine side also?

Yes RRP is very open to Turbo on a car , that where they get to make the most money

However that being said there is definately a hell lot of difference when doing a turbo for Street car Vs Rally Spec Vs Drag .
For example the Rally car with just the Turbo would not even stand a few kms unless it has Rally Suspension / Chasis hardening etc.
Infact before putting a Turbo Suspension needs to be hardened.

Do update us after you get headers installed, eagerly awaiting the results.
Would love to see the 55BHP graph along with the after headers graph. Please post them.
