Drive safe.
I agree with you as I am enjoying the sweet dual tone that the horn produces in my ANHC.

Hi, I had bought them off eBay India a few years back. Came in a loose condition (with Stebel box but not sealed) but gave me 3 years of great performance before I sold off that particular vehicle. Can't recollect what I paid unfortunately.

Nice loud sound but is probably too refined for India where I think Roots/Bosch make them sound more raspy and harsh.

These are great horns with a loud and clear tone. They are very similar to the Skoda horns.

Highly liked by BHPians and getting difficult to procure now. What is the best deal (with shipping) on eBay that you are getting?

Really. Including shipping, it comes to about $40. I am visiting Chennai next week, and will look for this near LIC. If I am successful, I shall let you know.

My cousin had got this from Singapore. The horn is quite good. It came to around Rs.800 a year ago. Try sourcing it from there.

Default Stebel Magnum TM-80 horns

I most probably can make this horn available for around Rs 700.

If anyone is interested, please let me know and I can find out.

A question:

The horn in my friends ANHC got a sore throat and the cure was - Replace the horns with Hella horns. The none too loud kind but definitely a pair of them.

The question is - The acc shop fitted the new horns in like 10 mins and my friend drove away paying the shop. Should they not have connected a relay/cut-out for the horn?

IIRC, ANHC came with factory fitted Hella dual Compact horns. In that case, there is no need for a relay.

Thanks,
Jose.

Not sure sir. I thought it had a single little thingy - though I don't know the brand of it. ANHC owners can comment?

Moreover with the new Hella fitment - I am not happy with the output! Will have ask my friend to take it to the shop again to check on the relay. She wouldn't go - I will have to take it

In my '99 Maruti 800 DX which I'd purchased second hand in Jan 2009. These had been installed by the first owner. I have absolutely no idea about the make or model.

The horns actually add character to this diminutive car, surprising other drivers on the highway! After all, who would expect an 800 to have such a voice!?! I do not honk it within the city, but I just switch it on once in a while to amuse friends

Are there any alternatives to this one? I'm looking for a single piece, not the two piece like the the Bosch symphony.
I replaced my Nautilus at EVO, Cambridge layout, near sai baba temple, Ulsoor, last week. Paid Rs 700/- . I had gone there to change speakers for my car.

Earlier i had red one, This one is Black one, both sound almost same.

God bless whoever is in front of you when you use this. Is this with that irritant of a musical output?

Exactly! The tune is similar to those screaming ones on lorries.

However it is actually not very shrill. Its kind of a muffled and not-so-loud 'pom-pom-ish' output. It used to be fine until recently, but nowadays it sounds like its got a very bad sore throat. When I tried to test it today, all I got was a low gargling noise, and it did not work. I think it is dying, or its probably because of the ageing Amaron battery which is more than six years old (07/05)!
