Nothing much to report at this time ganesc. The supercharger hasn't gone in yet as there is still a LOT of fabrication & electrical mods to do. The mileage has become much better after I went manual with the gearbox. That, combined with the light flywheel is getting me a little more than 10kmpl in the city with A/C on all the time. In it's original avatar I never got more than 6-7kmpl.

Eagerly awaiting your supercharger install, i was expecting to see it go in the engine bay much earlier. Hope you get it in soon

wonderful thread!

Quick Question - your planning to Turbo charge or super the car. asking this as they are 2 diffrent things and what i see from the picture looks more like a turbo charger.

Either ways plan for the below

1) higher Liter per hour (LPH) fuel pump
2) Braided fuel Lines to old better preasure
3) Bigger fuel rails
4) larger fuel injectors - i would refer the 8 or 12 holed for finner spray pattern
5) Fuel presure regulator with a guage (should not be a liquid filled guage)
5) Piggy back system or a full ECm system -if your going fr a piggy back i suggest greddy emanage ultimate it has a way of toggleing between street and track maps
6) LSD - limited slip diffrential
7) Twin turbo setup either a T4 turbo or an single Greddy T71 or T78 will work fine with
8) Twin turbo set up i recomend twin intercoolers but a single ones also fine

When installing a turbo charger try to get an externally waste gated one instead of an internal. also having a wate gate is not enough you alo need to have blow off valves, i prefer the adjustable ones so that you can tune it up to a particular PSI for peaking/blowing at the peak preasure without hurting the manifold.

Happy motoring!and big hand for the project

PS: please PM me where you got the Clutch set-up incl of the new Mass fly wheel you posted here

Theres nothing like having a project car to keep building over time. I know what its like to keep at it for over 6 years and this supercharger kit is just the beginning of a really fun journey ahead. Respect for what you've done and all the best

Nice again. No DYNO yet?
Also do you have cost data tabulated for this mod?

Harish, binz & sudev, thanks for your support!

Sudev, no dyno yet but it's definitely on the cards!

Sudev, I've done ALL these mods to my car for my passion for speed & acceleration. I NEVER add my bills....but that's just me.

OK fellas THIS has been a LONG time coming! I am in the process of installing the supercharger & it's partly done. Some teaser pics.

The engine is not modified(yet). I plan on running no more than 5 psi with water-methanol injection & a boost limiter.

I have had to remove the aircon compressor to put the supercharger in, so no comfort....only powerrrrrrr.

The last pic is of the grease-able poly bushings for the rear anti-roll bar.

so glad to hear that this project isn't dead
can't wait till the supercharger install is finally done.

About the polybushing, are you using them instead of regular rubber bushes all over? And if so, how is the ride? Does it tranfer more stress to the components and is it good on indian roads in the long term?

The poly bushings are for the rear anti roll bar. For a FWD vehicle, a stiffer rear bushing makes for a LOT less under-steer. Besides the bushings I already have an aftermarket anti-roll bar, upsized from 13mm to 19mm. I have almost nil under steer at moderate & high speeds now, not to mention negligible body roll.

Ride comfort is not compromised at all. It acts like a stiffer spring only during cornering.

The Boost limiter valve. One of THE most important safety bits for a supercharged engine.

I assume you've already read about the AEM system and whatever failsafe mechanism it offers. Make sure the failsafe is active; have heard of builds where the methanol/water mix ran out and ended up blowing the ringlands because the user was too lazy to wire in whatever failsafe the kit offers.

Good luck!

Affirmative Pranav. Cannot do without the failsafe.
