Honda goes environment conscious-green F1 car - Team-BHP

The Honda F1 team are to replace advertising and sponsor logos on their car this season with a giant picture of the Earth to raise awareness of environmental issues.
"Climate change is probably the single biggest issue facing the global community and F1 is not immune from it," team boss Nick Fry said in a statement on Monday.
"On the contrary, we believe that F1 with its huge global profile and cutting edge technology can play an important role in not only highlighting the issues but also playing our part in developing solutions."

Sponsors logo will not appear on the car but on the website- myearthdream.com | coming soon

wonder whos done that before in a season...not having sponsors on the car..how is this going to effect them...

Well as all of us are thinking the same... We will do our best to find out more abt them (read the sponsors). SO.... Hype => Their purpose is solved!!

Dude,its not what goes into the engine...but what comes out of the exhaust!
Race engines' live on the optimal AFR from where maximum power can be extracted!
F1 cars efficiently use every single ml of fuel and not because they're environment conscious(generally speaking).

Well, atleast this shud set the precedent for a fuel cell F1 car that gives O2 and water as its exhaust. Come to think of it that'd be a useful thing to have in blinding the opponent behind you.

It may burn up every ml of fuel but it is still using up precious fossil fuels. that's what i meant it may be efficient but what's the use if it guzzles up precious fuel.

guess it's a start. atleast honda is thinking about this.

Vid, I dont want to argue,brother.But,The entire world is guzzling up "precious fossil fuel" and it aint FREE! Of course, we're getting alternative fuels which are making these fossil fuel "not precious"!
Infact, F1 uses a different fuel...I think Methane mix.
