Virtual Rally Challenge - B'lore - Feb 9th 2008 - Team-BHP

Thought of sharing this, sounds like good clean fun

Mods not sure if this is the right section, posted it since its Rally Challenge (Virtual though).

Some of the rally guys are organising a Virtual Rally Challenge on Feb 9th (Saturday) at the Bowring Institute. All of you are invited to come over, drive a few stages, have a few beers and have lots of fun.

Venue – President's Lounge, Bowring Institute, St.Marks Road, Bangalore.
Time – 11am-6pm
Dress Code – Collared T-shirt/Shirt, Shoes, Full Trousers (Club Rules)

Winners will receive trophies and certificates

VRC Supplementary Regulations:

Venue for this event is President's Lounge, Bowring Institute on St. Marks Road, Bangalore.
Entry opens at 11am on 9th Feb 2008
Qualifiers will start at 11am
Finals will begin at 6pm

Eligibility: Competition license is NOT required
Age: 5-75yrs

Entry fee - Rs.30 per attempt (11am-4pm)
Entry fee - Rs.50 per attempt (4pm-6pm)
There is no limitation to the number of entries each person can give.
Entry fee will NOT be refunded under any circumstances.

All competitors will drive the same stage to qualify.
All competitors will be driving Mitsubishi EVO9 WRC Spec cars. (No choice of car or settings)
Competitors will NOT be allowed to use their own equipment and MUST use the equipment provided by the organisers.
Any competitor taking more than 5min in the qualifying stage will be forced to retire immediately.
No competitor will be allowed to restart a stage under any circumstances unless the stage commander feels that it is absolutely essential.
Competitors are expected to know the controls of the car before they drive.

The top 8 qualifiers will drive in the finals
The winner among the finalists, will be determined through a knock out format.
Finalists can choose their own cars. (Stock specs and settings)
The top 8 qualifiers will compete in a one stage gravel rally to determine the semi finalists.
The semi finalists will compete in a 3 stage gravel rally to determine the finalists.
The finalists will compete in a full gravel stage rally to determine the winner.
For any dispute, the decision of the COC will be final.

Dress Code:
Smart Race Wear
Shoes are compulsory
Shirt or T-shirt with collar is compulsory
Shorts are not allowed

Winners will receive trophies and certificates.

this is a smart idea and good fun too.i havent heard of such an event in india till now.hard luck missed by a week.i was in bagalore last week end no scope this week.best of luck to the bhpians taking part though.

I am not very good at driving this Virtual Stuff though I have driven rally cars at full throttle and I find those easier.
