Just got this email from IMMC. For all those who find the allotted slots inconvenient, you have the option to change the same. Read below:

Quote:

The venue is :

Jaypee Public School
G-Block,
Jaypee Greens,
Greater Noida-201 310
For a direction-map, pl visit : Jaypee Public School,Greater Noida|Contact us

Duration is approximately 3 hours.

Kindly note that your attendance at this first session is a prerequisite for selection as a Formula 1 Marshal Trainee.

Kindly confirm your attendance immediately by sending an SMS as below:

If you're attending the program, pl send : IMMC T1DEL Y to 9223050607
If you won't be attending the program, pl send : IMMC T1DEL N to 9223050607

{T1DEL stands for Training Program-1 in Delhi :: Y is for Yes and N is for No}

If the time-slot allotted to you is inconvenient, please do choose any alternate slot from the time schedule given earlier in this email. SMS to be sent is only for us to know if you are attending or not and does not pertain to the time slot.

This training will introduce you to the duties of an F1 Marshal and give an overall view of the various areas of operation in a Formula 1 Race where your services will be needed, not forgetting the rules, regulations and safety parameters that will be applicable at work.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Yours in Motorsport,

Team IMMC.

Those who are coming to G Noida, here are the simple route
Take Expressway - Reach the T Point - Take right turn - From next round about -Take Left Turn and on your left hand side, there is J.P. Green. The first entrance gate is Kamla Gate.
You can also see the board of Jaypee Public School visible from the main road.
Best of luck guys

Attended today's first 3 p.m. session at Delhi (Greater NOIDA). It was a good experience. Got to learn many things about what goes into preparing for "THE" race. Extremely strict rules and regulations that have to be abided by in any case.

And yes, a very striking thing that I learned today was that under no circumstance is the marshall allowed to touch the F1 driver.

I'm really looking forward to other sessions that will follow.

Guys in/around Delhi : If you have not registered but are still wanting to become a marshal for F1 races. You can still do so.

Turn up at Jaypee Public School, Grater Noida @1500hrs for today's afternoon session or for next Saturday (23rd April). Some fresh registrations would be taken.

After these initial induction presentations and Q&A sessions the next set of training would be about roles that you are to perform. So this would be your last shot at it.
