Hello All

Ya would love to help you all out, I have stockpiled not much. But a few small parts, elecricals and the silencers which i had got from a shop keeper who had brought the silencers for a client loooong back but the client dint pick them up. So I got the silencers for my Yezdi, but never went ahead to use them. Had the original boxes too a little while ago.

I have a Yezdi 250 customised, here is a link http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motorb...ied-yezdi.html (Heres My Modified Yezdi)

Hey, that's good news, I was looking for a pair of silencers for my '82 Classic 250. Would you be kind enough to spare one for me .

Please post the pics again in your modification thread.

No brother, the pics are still missing. You may be able to see that because they are cached in your browser.

You Bangalore guys are very, very lucky. I was there for the Metallica concert after that on Monday went spare hunting. Picked up a lot of spares. Crank, Silencors, Pistons. It was real cheap too... By the way, Vijay Agencies on JC road has shifted to Hosur road. I was told by RT13 that it sells real good pistons.

The pistons seem to be original. They have the Ideal Jawa factor address on it and its packing date is 1993, one even has 96 date. Each cost around 790 bucks... I found the same type in Mumbai. They were charging around 2K for it...

What did u say real cheap a jawa piston for 790 its was too costly dear.
(printed price is 320/- or somewhere around) Tuffyrider will i guess agree with this.

the cylinder + piston was priced till 750/- if i am not wrong.

But anyways u got the stuff

Ranjit, packaging date and marked price are probably both from 1993 :-) Inflation and the exponential rise in demand should obviously be factored in while considering what we pay, although an original IPL for leepower's ModelB wouldnt be hard to find in Bangalore (not cheap though, i'm sure). But it'll be a cold day in hell before we can buy an original block-piston for 750 bucks!! That too, in Bangalore!

Yes 750 seems cheap compared to today's inflated Prices of each and every part of old cars and bikes. I had got a piston way back in 2006 for around 300 bucks. i think tkr (i dont remember as i had little knowledge about bikes mechanicals then,) but it is still going strong so must be of good quality.
