| BHPian | Finally I have achieved a long time dream of mine. On Tuesday 11th Oct 2011, I took the delivery of the recently launched Royal Enfield Classic Chrome in the maroon pinstripe. I will always remember as it coincided with Laxmi Puja on the full moon post Dussera. I am short of words to describe the feeling when I first rode the bike and really wanted the road to stretch longer than it is to my way back home. It is not the speed or the flick of the bike but the ease of sitting and going straight with a steady thumping music playing from the exhaust. In a week which sucked me out at work, I could only manage 100 kms till Friday and now looking to the weekend to make up for it. Some initial pictures will do the talking and time for me to be out riding. Last edited by sudipta : 15th October 2011 at 08:34. |

| Many congrats sudipta !! The Classic Chrome in maroon stripes looks lovely. I'm smitten with the new color options for the CL500. Wish you many happy miles with your new Bull. Now the most important thing, pics please. ![]() I believe this is the first ownership thread of a Classic Chrome in tbhp. Congratulations once again. ![]() |

| Love the classic looks and the hand painted strips. Please remove that crash guard and go for a little bigger gaudy one ![]() In rainy season just take a bottle of oil and apply over the rims and trims while riding it out as i always do that to protect the trims. Specially the crash guard, stand and even the battery cover. Last but not the least, such a lovely kid. |

| BHPian | @ deutscheafrikar Thanks a ton for the compliments. @ shantanupsingh Thank you very much. As of now I haven't faced any challenge keeping it clean. The chrome is easy. The wet stuff (i.e oil, grease) looks very odd but polish with microfibre cloth does the job. @ BIG SARAN Thanks buddy, I did check out the black and it is surely a good looking one. But as you are aware colour choice differs from people to people and my family voted for the maroon. I can safely say both are head turners on the road. |
