It really looks hot and pricey than actually it is. It has really got that big bike looks. We will have to wait to read out actual performance on indian roads. No doubt that it will sell in large numbers if priced well - in region of 1.7lacs ex showroom.

I only wish it were true; If my instincts are right, it will be priced between Ninja 250R & CBR 250R & that's where they can make money.

Someone also compared the power to weight ratio of Comet & Pulsar 220 & found Pulsar's was slightly better. Most people who're knowledgeable about Hyosung say it has a sweet little engine with all crap around it. Not sure how far this is true & is applicable for GT250R.

But for sure the package of GT250R & service Garware offers, its a good welcome back.

Guess quality is their achilles heel, with a couple in my circle getting their tanks replaced because of the discoloration. Hopefully this will be devoid of that?

I think they will price it around 2.2 to 2.5 because anything above will start getting near the GT650N zone. Hopefully, they have sorted quality issues and service bills will come down!!!

Default Return of the Comet? 250 cc bike from Garware coming soon.

Came upon this interesting piece of news! The 250 V-twin is still a looker even today and can give the Ninja a run for its money especially if its sold at its old price (+10%)

Hyosung would have worked before the Ninja , Honda and expected Yamaha. When you have cost leaders like Bajaj behind brands like KTM and Ninja (need I mention Kawasaki ?).
It's a matter of time.

When Kinetic came out with the comet, Hyosung should have supported and put all their cards in then. The lead time and novelty factor would have really helped.

Indeed an interesting news sir. The old Comet was quite a looker and if launched it should do well provided the company increase the dealer head count, get the pricing right and deliver a good quality value for money product. After all it will be competing with the already established Ninja 250 and the baby ceeber.

That was indeed a missed opportunity for them. However, they can still catch up. Atleast going by the number of Hyosung bikes that I see on Thane streets these days they definitely can.

Hyosung with better handling compared to ninja, would have gone a long way, but for poor build quality. Hope it improves in India.

Posting a picture shared in FB. Price is shown as 2.5 lakhs and apparently bookings are open. But it also says power is 30BHP which can't be true.

2.5L for this or 3L for Ninja 250 ?
I'll take the Ninja anyday.
Thank you!

I agree with you. Although the price is yet to be officially announced, 2.5L for Hyosung is a bit too much.

Also came across the following link -Honda CBR250R vs. Hyosung GT250R vs. Kawasaki Ninja 250R | MC Comparison - Motorcyclist Magazine - according to which the price of Hysoung GT250R and CBR 250R is same in US. So if Hyosung can assemble it locally maybe the price will be similar to that of CBR.
Ninja seems to be way overpriced in India. Wish Bajaj would assemble it locally so that the price comes down.
