Default TVS launching a new bike. EDIT : It's the Apache Facelift

TVS is launching a new bike, hope it is a P220 competitor. Here is a teaser pic released by TVS Apache on Facebook.

There are conflicting reports. One website says that the current Apache range is getting a makeover (SCOOP! TVS to launch revised Apache RTR - News - Autocar India)

The other says that it's a all new Apache (TVS To Launch All New Apache In May 2012 | MotorBeam - Indian Car Bike News & Reviews)

I hope that it's the 2nd one. TVS just lost the 3rd position in the market, and launching a 220/250cc bike will surely help it regain the spot.

Thumbs up re: TVS launching a new bike. EDIT : It's the Apache Facelift

Love the stare. Those headlights surely should come in a full fairing bike. Otherwise it will look very odd. Hope its 250cc. Why doesn't anybody have any scoops about technical specifications or the bike's look until today? TVS has done a great job keeping it under the wraps.

Look at those daemon eyes

The twin headlamps look amazing . Even if launched in the 150cc segment , this is sure to blow the likes of Fazer (Which IMO is bought for its aesthetics only) out of the competition.

If it is launched in the 250cc segment it can sure be the Power performer every biker dreams to own.
Hope it gets FI or ABS or both

Critical in both cases would be the pricing . .
Fingers Crossed !

The bike is definitely a looker. The Apache 180 is a good bike itself, can't imagine what this would do. There will definitely be an ABS version according to me. This will be targeted at people who can't afford the Honda CBR 250. Looking forward to this bike.

Wow!! thats one menacing look!

The tagline says "New Beast" - So probably safe to assume its an all new Apache version, definitely not a 150 or 180.

The lights in the teaser sure look menacing. I hope its a much better product in comparison to its earlier line-up. A big jump in BHP is welcome.

Anyone has any insights into the specs?

judging by the distance between the lights i think it would have a fairing like that of the Fazer. or maybe they've taken the picture too close

it looks like it has eyebrows (the top portion).

Let it be different platform from apache range . Looks very promising , key would be bhp ,styling and pricing . Any launch dates ?

Definite stunner. Prying eyes. Sure to be a fairing bike with atleast 250cc. TVS, way to go.

I assume this is an all-new Apache with 250cc engine. Might share other features from the existing line-up. The looks are outrightly killer. TVS desperately needs a 250cc bike in it's stable, so does Yamaha.

Eagerly awaiting the launch of this new bike.

Looks promising. Wonder why there are no scoops at all of this bike.

Hope they dont do a Hero in having the same engine with a different body.

Guys, sorry to break the bubble. Just back from the service center. The pictured bike above is the new design of the RTR160 - Yes you read it right. It is the RTR160 and not a 220 or 250. By the looks of it they are trying to fight the CBR150R on the looks front as they have dual colors of Black-Green, Black-Red, Black-Yellow on this model. It is not a full fairing as well!

Mightily disappointed by this move from TVS!! Sorry could not click pics of the brochure as i did not carry a camera phone with me!
