Congratulations on your new LX125! And wow what a Vespa collection! Instantly some old memories of my Dad's sky blue LML Vespa flash by. Remember doing countless commutes journeys standing in front holding the handle bar along with Dad.

Vespa should have given you the new one free of cost given the collection you have got there. They have a true blue fan in you.

Instead I intend to ask Piaggio to sponsor me a visit to their Pontedera factory in Italy.

Mama mia! So many Vespas! Great collection you have there. Congratulations on the new buy. Wishing you many miles of great riding.

I'm not quite sure this has been noticed by other people. I started riding on a Bajaj Cub and have been riding bikes for years since then. But when I go back to riding a scooter - I somehow feel not so "planted" to the road - especially when braking or taking turns. Is that due to the smaller wheelbase or just my head? Sorry a little

Congratulazioni.. superba collezione!

I noticed they have fitted it with crappy Indian tires. Since its a high performance scooter, first thing you should do is get a set of tubeless Pirellis or Michelins to replace them.

Are there Michelins/Pirellis tubeless available in 10" size? If so,Id like to move on to them immediately.

They are available but hard to find in India because a typical scooter user does not appreciate performance tires and not willing to pay for them. I had seen an thread but not able to find it now. Try in the same places which sell imported motorcycle tires. Here is their selection. Per the 2nd link Michelin Pilot sporty is the standard fitment on the Euro Vespa LX

Congrats on the new acquisition and cheers on the large & beautiful vespa collection hillram. I still feel the older vespas have a soul of their own. Having learnt riding on my dads 64 model Lambretta, I can imagine the enjoyment these scooters bring to true collectors such as you. I think you should have a sponsored entry at the annual euro vespa event

As for the new Vespa, being a premium/lifstyle product I would have expected them to have good tubeless tires & disc brakes as standard equipment.

Have fun and enjoy the rides.

Congratulations Hillram, Hats off to your passion and dedication, your collection has me drooling!

The new vespa looks cool and what a nice colour you have chosen. I have retained my Vespa NV from school days. Hoping to find a good mechanic to restore it in Pune.

Thats an awesome picture, well crafted Italian beauties with its caring owner. Reminds me of my days with the Vespa 150 that my father rode. Like you wrote somewhere in the review, the Wasp is very addictive, still miss those rides standing in front.
When I did get to ride it all by myself, it was mind boggling.

Congratulations on owning the newer Wasp!!

Congratulations on your Vespa!

We got one for my younger sister, and that was a red colored Vespa. I must say, this bike looks gorgeous. In fact, it is probably one of those vehicles that just looks so much better in person, than in photographs. This might have a downside too, which is what we're worried about at home. A short visit to the petrol bunk elicited hundreds of eagle eyed stares, and lots of questions at the bunk.

The technology seems somewhat impressive as well. I believe the engine has 3 valves, which is pretty neat. The switchgear felt very tactile, and great to touch.

The only downside, might be the OTR. Here, in Chennai, it cost 78k, which, I believe, is more than the cost of the Pulsar 180!. The dealer mentions that 10k is for the brand equity. Whether this equity is justified, and whether the Vespa will be able to do something to the scooter market, like what the R15 did to the motorcycle market by ushering in the "premium motorcycle" concept, remains to be seen.

Congrats Ram, waiting for the next meet to Ride the Italian beauty. Absolutely love the color. My wife is sold on the Vespa too, but will have to wait till I sell the Activa after a few months. BTW, Did you check out Ashoka Wheels he might be able to get you the Tubeless tires.
