I was commenting based on the windshield I saw in the video first posted by Praful (the 100 in 5 seconds one).

That is the one I would want. And it looked perfect on the bike.

As such, even I have commented on my baby duke 222 thread earlier. The small OE bikini wind spoiler on our bikes itself is amazingly functional. So I do not doubt this slightly larger one will be even better. But for touring, I would want the one in the video.

Doc, I think the one in the accessories list is same as that video windshield? Looks like that to me.

Also, surely aftermarket windshields will be available in bigger sizes in sometime, at least I hope so.

At a quick glance it does, but if you check the proportion of the top tapering bit of the windshield to the rest of the shield in the accessories link, it is a lot shorter than that shown in the 0 - 100 km\h video (you can use the video thumbnail to get an idea of the shape).

GreaseMonk is right. The wind shield in the video is bigger. The accessories one is an intermediate one which just has a somewhat extended top flange compare to the OE one. I would not pay money for that. I would rather import or try to get Bajaj to.

800,000 NPR in Nepal! That's close to 5 big ones here!

Guessing by the price in Nepal and that the import duties in Nepal are close to 240%, so NPR 800,000 is approx INR 500,000 and if we reduce the import duties as the 390 would be locally produced the cost of 390 should be around INR 210,000.
That would be a killer pricing. Fingers crossed.!

Okay, so I think people have forgotten about this video in all the melee:

1. A great view of the stock wind-shield, which I think does the job quite well.

2. Power wheelies galore.

3. And the sound. Wheeeeeeeeee vrooom vroom!

Just to keep the excitement going: http://cyclenews.uberflip.com/i/130090/0

Go to page 58.

The RC series are gonna be here early next year. The Adventure series will be unveiled only after them! So late next year is when we'll get to see the adventure series.

Awesome read up. How did you manage to find this link? A very nice read up on the bike's DNA. How many more days do we have to wait to ride this one? I am growing impatient, scourging through every possible material out there on the 390. I somehow wanted this bike to be bigger than its siblings, but its not going to be. Nevertheless, this is The Bike to own.

@redline, that is a nice review there.

Just checking: are any dealers taking advance bookings for the 390. I want to be in the first lot to pick one. Dire need of wheels now.

I checked at KTM Indranagar, Blore and they said the 390 will go on sale sometime in July or Aug this year.
