Default RX100 bore change

I own a 1995 RX100, in stock condition. I have had it rebored it 2 times and this time though, my mechanic recommends a change of Bore. However he recommends a RX135 Bore for he says it would result in better milage and initial pick up.

Please Advice.

Default Go!!!!!! Ahead

Get a genuine 5 speed barrel and a gearbox and enjoy the change.

Its highly recommended you search for a 5 speed head...very rare though

initially i was getting 40kpl ,but now after getting it serviced from yamaha dealer the FE has gone down to 30 kpl ....so i have decided that henceforth i would do a few things like carb cleaning ,air filter cleaning ,replacing plugs and tightening the chain myself like i used to in my splendor .
As we have quite a few RX 135 owners here ,why not use this thread to share info on servicing it and getting the best out of it .

Guys having rx 135 5speed try replacing the carburettor piston PIN (i.e-the pin inside the carburettor throttle piston) to a 4 speed pin.....This will definately improve mileage.....Tested and Tried.......Cheers!!!!

Nice bike.

But i'm not in favor with the bald rear end look. It should have some sort of finishing.

What for both ends? A good one on the front is enough. cost 4-5k.

Have heard mixed (good and bad) reviews of mixing 2T oil with petrol.Hunting here for the pros and cons of it...over filling it in the side oil tank.

your bike is stunning please install tail lamp and the rear indicators. they are very useful just in absence of them you could meet an accident. you can go for a tail lamp with integrated indicators. in my opinion go for the bsa tail lamp saw one on a rx the other day looks really good. the seat is looking too long. do something about it. rest as i said the bike is really looking good
