AS far as I know precisely the same engine as other rx-models barring Rx-100

Hmmmmmmmmm, Was under the assumption that the Tiger was the 125cc version. Will check on that. Anyone know what the 125cc rx was called? I was pretty sure it was the tiger but I might be wrong. Will have to check on that.

As far, I remember, the RX125 was alive only for a short time. Its not the tiger. Shut off due to pollution norms. I have heard people say that the initial RXs in pre 1989 are 125cc. Never verified that. But, I know my uncle's old stock 88 RX pulled like hell.

See if you can source the pad size. Other manufacturer pads should work if the size match. I knew a place in Thampanoor where they used to sell autoparts. Else you can check with contacts in Bangalore or Chennai.

Question help needed!!!!!plz experts

hi friends,

I am a new member from chandigarh . Being an autofreak its great 2 join this community . Well guys I own a yamaha rx135 4speed (2002).....it has done 65000~kms till date. its running on .50 oversize pistons. the boring was done around 42000~kms.
my prob:- Now its has lost its performance punch n being a performance freak n yamaha lover , i've decided 2 redo its engine ....
m getting new NGK SPARK PLUG , CLUTCH PLATES(org),AIR FILTER(org), rx135's MUFFLER (all nickel one like rx 100's . m getting it all new from yamaha ppl for 1500rs ) , ALL CABLES....hmmm..now comes the most important part i.e. piston, rings n cylinder block.

Experts please suggest me whether i should go for original piston kit from yamaha (costs arnd 3100rs) or i should get a another oversize (.75 pistons n rings) n get the cylinder re-bored . Which of the above option will give me better results(performance wise).. ??

HELP ME EXPERTS!!!

Question help needed!!experts plzz...

hi friends,
I'm a new member from chandigarh n being an autofreak its gr8 to join team-bhp .
Well my steed:- YAMAHA RX135 (2002) . M a die hard 2 stroke fan n like everybody else here i also love my rx .
My bike has done 65000~kms. Its running on .50 oversize pistons since ~42000kms. But now i feel tht it has lost its performance punch. Now i've decided 2 redo my bike's engine. I've decided to go for all yamaha original clutch plates, air filter , all cables , brand new muffler(the one which previous rx135 had all chrome. M getting it from yamaha ppl for 1500rs) and NGK spark plug. well well well now comes most imp thing i.e. Piston , rings ,cylinder....here lies my query>>
friends please suggest me whether i should go for original yamaha cylinder kit(costs arnd 3100) OR should i just go for next over size .75 piston n rings n get the cylinder block bored. M a performance freak so friends please adive which of the above options will give me better results (performance wise)

all valuable replies are welcome

hi guys... i got a RXZ 135 5 gear,14 bhp.2001 model. i waited for months to get this model to be launched. i love my bike. it performed very well for last 5 years. but now it shows some probs. engine has becme weak. i did all service properly in the interval of 3k kms till date.totaly it has run 60k now.Avg FE is 32 now. some times it drops to 28.
Now iam planing have some repairs on enginge side and others. now a days i am not a speed freek. i need to get some more FE. heard that if i replace the cylinder head unit with that of a RX135 12 bhp engine, FE is will improve a lot. i need some clarifications on this. And about a K&N filter some some other mods on my bike.
please help me, for making my most loved bike to a much more smoot and Fuel efficient, with out loosing much of the thrill of RX series..

RX ROCKS

RX Tiger - Honda City EXi
RX 135 4 speed - Honda City GXi
RX 135 5 speed - Honda City Vtec

I think you get the picture.

There was an RX 125. The fairing carried a star. It was pulled out because of certain legal reasons - the bore exceeded the permitted limit. Never driven it though I have seen two in Bangalore.

I have an RX 135 5 speed. It is rusting in Pune. I have a hectic workload but need to get moving on restoring her. I want to keep her stock as far as possible except for the addition of disc brakes. Plus I need to change her registration from KA to MH. Nice to see this thread.
