Team-BHP - Unsteady PULSAR 180 at medium speeds

Guys,
I have a 03/2002 Pulsar 180. Lately it feels as though the rear tyre is beginning to weave at speeds between 60-70kms.
The problem started only after "front fork/holder fork under inspection and oild change + steering overhaul".
Took it back to the dealer who checked rims/wheels/mounting and declared nothing wrong. Suggested I change my rear tyre, whick was too smooth.
Changed both front + rear tyres to CEATs, but problem persists.
It also feels as though the front suspension is too soft.
Would very much appreciate any suggestions/feedback.

Mostly it could be your bearing. Suggestion would be to put your bike on the centre stand and with the rear wheel off the ground, shake the tyre sideways. If there is any kind of play i.e. if it does move side to side then your bearings are bust, you need to replace. Not sure why your mech could not make this out.

If not then there is something seriously wrong with ya bike. Do this check first.

Front shocks were not dismantled right, I mean completely? If thats not done and your feel that your front shocks are too soft then have them stiffened, all that would have to be done is an addition of a small extra spring.

Wheel bearings would be the first thing to check... A friend of mine had the same problem with his 02 P180... oddly enough, there was a bend on the front forks, which was fixed. and subsequently, he didn't find a problem with the rear tire.... not sure what the connection was though....

Bearings are OK.
But I think you hit the nail on the head as I have been telling the service incharge that the front suspension has become very soft (problem started only after he changed front suspension oil and handle bearings) I sometimes feel as though the front tyre has gone flat though air pressure is OK.
Let me go back for the 4th time:Frustrati and hope for the best.

Did you check the rear swing arm bush. I got them replaced for the same problem after I rode to Ladakh . It solves the problem. Get the bush replaced and also get the swing arm greesed every month once you can find the greesing knob on the right side of the swing arm.

how many kms it has run ?
The rear you said was ceat ? what size is it ?
And you said the problem exists before the rear tyre and after also ? right?
So its not the tyres , it can be bent rear rim and check the rear suspesion ,since it is 3 year old bike , the suspension is had become too soft.Put the suspension to 2 or 3 settings .Also as others susggested check the bearings.

Hi guys,
Gave the bike in again yesterday and detailed all the points given by TBHP.
Its a real pain taking off from work and getting back.
Looks like a front suspension problem.
Lets wait and see.

Finally got a fix.
Fault was in the front suspension springs, which had lost their tension completely. The supervisor who had changed the suspension oil earlier overlooked this and had claimed they were OK. Changed springs,oil and oil seals.
My takeaway from this experience is :-
All dealers are so tuned to the "volume" turnover, that to get their attention for more than 10-15 minutes on 1 bike is impossible.
On the last visit I sat with the Works Manager (who was very attentive) and the problem got fixed. SO DONT LEAVE THE DEALERS GUYS, CATCH THEM INDIVIDUALLY, PREFERABLY MIDDAY.
I really am apprehensive to what will happen after I get the Fi this year end!!!
My service dealer is the one on Mekhri Circle. The one on Kasturba Road is so overloaded, he thinks he is gods gift to bikers (I have had horrible experiences with him).
