Default Pirelli motorcycle tyres to be sold at CEAT outlets

CEAT and Pirelli have joined hands to distribute premium motorcycle tyres in India. Through the partnership, Pirelli is looking to take advantage of CEAT's distribution and dealer network.

Pirelli has already been supplying tyres to Indian brands like Royal Enfield and Mahindra Two-Wheelers and this move has come in to take advantage of the rising demand for premium motorcycles in our sub-continent. This demand is expected to grow by up to 16% over the next five years.

The entire range of tyres will be available from the first week of December at select CEAT dealerships.

Awesome news if they can ensure availability of tyres! Even our fellow forum members are banging their head against the wall to get hold of a replacement tyre for the Continental GTs. Hope this will help in curbing the hoarding of these tyres by retailers.

Just came across this news today morning. It sure looks promising and good for those who want to look at Pirelli tyres as an option for their motorcycles. In addition to RE and Mahindra Two Wheelers there's also Benelli motorcycles which sports Pirelli tyres, good for them too.

The issues of grey import and warranty issues can be taken care of by the Ceat dealerships.

Awesome news! This is a really good move by Pirelli IMO. It gives us more choice when selecting a new tire for our bikes, which can never be a bad thing . In addition, Pirelli will also get more exposure to the Indian market, because other than enthusiasts, many people have not heard of the brand before.

Very welcome move! Apart from the made in India performance bikes, the growing breed of superbike owners were left at the mercy of only Michelin PR2s, with only a handful other sellers selling other brands all over the country.

The PSD, Angel GT, SuperCorsas: I'm already salivating!
