Exclamation The Great Italian Showdown !!!

I have aways considered the Italians to be the best bike-makers in the world. But which one of them is better? Following are some top-class Italian bikes that anyone would love to own (well, okay, i'l be honest. just me maybe.) If it came down to 1 bike, which one would it be?? All the bikes are around the 1000cc mark - separating a man's bike from the others

In alpahabetical order:

1. Aprilia RSV 1000R

2. Benelli TnT1130

3. Bimota DB5 1000

4. Cagiva Raptor 1000

5. Ducati 999S

6. Ducati Monster S2R 1000

7. Moto Guzzi Breva V1100

8. MV Agusta Brutale 910R

9. MV Agusta F4 1000 Senna

P.S. All the pictures are 1280x800 (widescreen for my laptop) resolution. If you want any particular pic in a different resolution, visit http://www.bikewalls.com or you can just save time and PM me .

My vote goes to the Moto Guzzi Breva V1100. Why? becoz if all these bikes were infact cars, then the Moto Guzzi would be a TVR... mean power, either full or zero traction, great handling and oh, the constant chance of dying... horribly. And those who know me know what a big TVR fan I am.

Has to be the MV AGUSTA Brutale, I mean just look at the damn thing, it's a piece of Art!!

For second & third place I would choose the 999 or the F4 1000!!

Yup. Its the standard MV Agusta Brutale 910R, but with the Italian footbal team's color scheme. and the words "Campioni del Mondo 2006" written on them. They are gonna cost a fortune. And of course I'm pretty sure no Germans or French would want one.

What are you trying to do Ranjan....give me a brian malfunction? Tell me, how do I choose between the TnT, Brutale, S2R and the Senna?
I have not voted here....coz if I vote for any one of them, it wont be fair.

The Tnt has amazing looks and get torque, the Brutale could win purely for it's looks, but so could the Senna, apart from the fact that it handles really well. But then so does the S2R, with amazing low down torque also and those awesome silencers.

Hence, I am not voting for a bike. yes, if I had to vote one out, it could be the DB5, since even though it has the looks, the snatchy FI system and SOHC engine cannot match up to the performance of the other Italians.

By the way, what made you leave the DB6 Delirio out of this poll?

Aha. I was hoping noone would notice. To me, the DB6 is just the naked version of the DB5. Thing is, theDB6 looks so good that if I was afraid that it might run away in the polls, leaving the other bikes helpless. Couldn't let that happen, although it does seem that the F4 Senna has more fans than I had anticipated. Surprisingly, noone's voted for the Cagiva yet; one of the best handling bikes ever made or the Benelli; one of the most butch looking bikes ever made.
