Default Royal Enfield hikes prices across portfolio by up to Rs. 3,600

Royal Enfield has hiked prices of all bikes in its Indian portfolio, including the recently launched RE Himalayan. The increase ranges from Rs. 1,100 to Rs. 3,600. The new prices have been made applicable across the country from immediate effect. This is reportedly the second price hike by the two-wheeler manufacturer within the span of one year.

The smallest price hike has been made on the Himalayan, while the biggest increase of Rs. 3,600 has been made on the Classic 500 Chrome. No official reason has been given behind the said price rise.

Following is the updated ex-showroom Delhi prices of all Royal Enfield bikes available in the country:

Royal Enfield Bullet 350 - Rs. 1,09,393
Royal Enfield Electra 350 - Rs. 1,23,470
Royal Enfield Classic 350 - Rs. 1,31,369
Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 - Rs. 1,41,706
Royal Enfield Bullet 500 - Rs. 1,57,048
Royal Enfield Himalayan - Rs. 1,56,331
Royal Enfield Classic 500 - Rs. 1,67,534
Royal Enfield Classic 500 Desert Storm - Rs. 1,70,307
Royal Enfield 500 Deluxe - Rs. 1,78,058
Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 - Rs. 1,79,519
Royal Enfield Continental GT - Rs. 1,98,700

Looking back, I should have bought some good amount of RE shares in 2002, rather than the bullets.
I am not complaining though - have been offered some crazy prices for the oldies.
