better idea is to find an RXZ clutch cover and swap yours with it.

Impulsive purchase for a friend who backed out at the last moment. Long story, we will talk about this over PM if you still fancy hearing the whole story.

Hi All,

Can anyone please suggest the best stock restoration point at Hyderabad for my Yamaha RXZ 1998 model.

Can someone please help me sourcing 5 speed Black tank & shields? I tried with most known & trusted sources, and almost everyone denied. If not OE tank, I can live with after market tank also. Thanks in advance.

After market tank looks hideous, the shape is very different and can be noticed if you have a keen eye. There is no difference in the filler mouth, many just speculate it and yes I have seen that difference in some tanks, but a normal tank painted in black is your best bet. Buy a RX 100 tank in black and get it overcoated. Getting a used tank is not worth the troubles. By the way I painted my OE Black tank to OE Yamaha 5S Maroon.

I hope I will be left with this option only. Now I feel I should have retained the tank and shield from 135 4s which I sold recently. That was a spotless, fully painted tank without any rust inside. Let me check with my friend if he is willing to exchange that tank & shield with brand new 4s tank

Tried all my luck to find OE tank and finally given up
Had an RX135 4S spare tank in very good condition (without any dent, leakage, rust) Gave them for painting along with Lumax side shields.

PS: If anyone is interested in getting OE 4s Maroon color tank + shield, one piece is left at J.K Automobiles, Tambaram (Opp. Sidha Hospital)

Painted tank & Shields arrived today (just a couple of minutes back) If I had a fuel cock, fitment should have been completed in another 10 mins.

The Catcon is too heavy. The ride becomes a little heavier if you are used to the non catcon versions. The exhaust that you have (assuming its a Rx 135 4 speed one) is great and my bike used to feel very light and nimble to ride.

The headlight looks fine to me.

I'm getting similar response from a lot of people and I feel I should drop the idea of cat-con.
