Wow the Duke looks even now tempting in white. Can't wait to exchange my classic 350 for this beauty. Visited KTM today and they are accepting bookings but didn't have a tentative date when the first batch will arrive, they also did not have a display bike in white.

Should I wait for a couple of batches to sort out the niggles or should I take the plunge is the question running in my mind.

I know the color has been there in the international markets from the time of launch but I am not very sure the same quality standards apply to our locally sold bikes as well.

I took a test ride of the 2018 white D390 yesterday. The engine, clutch action, throttle are all much smoother than my first gen. The seat is definitely more comfortable. The overall build quality also looks better.
But I felt something missing - the bike somehow seems tamer. Maybe the lack of harshness is masking the explosive power.
Also I did not feel it to be as chuckable as my first gen.

Per the salesguy, 2018 comes with just some fixes and minor improvements over the 2017 and nothing major. The color quality is top notch!

I thought odo resets were sorted in the 2018 Duke, a colleague's friend brought one recently, the white colored one and his console also crashed and his ODO went back by 50 kms. It has been more than a year since the new model was launched and the manufacture has no interest in solving the issues. So don't entirely believe what the sales guys say.

Would you by any chance know if this crash happened after phone sync via Bluetooth?

My White Duke 390 was delivered around the 10th of February. I will be putting up an ownership review soon. But there are two things which are troubling me; one the mirrors become loose and start swaying when ridden at high speeds. Even after I tighten the nut holding it, another high speed ride gets them loose again.

Additionally the TFT screen goes blank and then reboots by itself when it is connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth. When it comes back, all the controls become non responsive although the display of speed, kilometres, fuel, rpm etc is okay

I haven’t checked closely to see if the odo has gone back though and it is worrying me a bit

Congrats Rahul. Do invest in a good riding gear.

This is a known issue with 2017 Dukes. I am surprised that it's been one year and still KTM has not bothered to fix these software glitches. For the time being, I I advise you to refrain yourself from connecting via bluetooth. furthermore, could you please confirm the software version your bike is on Latest one is V41(I guess yours must be on V39). These dealers don't bother to update the software before delivering the bike.

Waiting for a full ownership review👍🏼
