Default Bajaj Boxer X150 Cross spotted testing in India

An undisguised test mule of the Bajaj Boxer X150 Cross has recently been spotted testing on the old Mumbai-Pune highway near Lonavla. These spy shots indicate that Bajaj Auto might bring back the Boxer brand of motorcycles to India in the future.

The Boxer X150 Cross is an adventure sports styled version of the standard Boxer 150. It is already on sale in some international markets like Kenya and Zambia. The X150 Cross gets some cosmetic changes as compared to the regular model, including new body graphics, a set of black alloys, raised front mudguard and a new rear carrier. Additionally, the spotted bike is reported to be shod with mud grip tyres.

Powering the Boxer X150 Cross is a 144.8 cc, single-cylinder engine that is rated at 12 BHP and 12.26 Nm of torque. The spy shots suggest that it gets telescopic forks at the front and spring in spring (SNS) suspension at the rear. Braking duties are handled by drum brakes on both wheels.

I never really understood the concept of making such low powered 'sports' bike. Who are the the intended audience for the such vehicles? I know looks are purely subjective but IMHO the design won't appeal much to the young generation. Same was the case the Hero Impulse and Hero Splendor Classic. I have seen or heard anyone using Hero Impulse as the Dirt Bike (intended purpose).

African markets to be specific. The ones where the Boxer is already exported.

Very obvious that it's not for Indian market
