COngrats!!!

Did you upgrade to tubeless??? How much did it cost you???

For mods??? What kinda??? performance??? budget???

Performance:- You could opt for k& N with rejettin and free flow exhuasts... Dont think you should do more than that now cause you have mentioned you learned riding only a month back...

hey dude..even I got a Karizma like 3 months back..yes,it's a nice bike.
Wanted to ask - what is the size of the front and back wide tubeless tires you fitted?..did you have to remove the chain cover for fitting the rear tire?
As for the average you mentioned,it is good..I am getting around 35-38kms/litre right now..(with stock tube tires)..with normal riding(upto 65kms/hr max),since bike is still in running-in period.
enjoy your new bike, and do post up pics if possible..
cheers,
-sr

The affect on pickup depends on how wide the tyre is. The original alloys should support about 110\90. IMHO the karizma does'nt need wider tyres. What it needs is some more power from that engine.

fitting a broader and fatter tyre will result in decrease of pickup. You can only keep it for show.

@honda_dude: performance or cosmetic mods?

thank u all for your replies.
the tyres cost around 8 thousand more after giving my old tyres

yes the pickup had reduced a little bit but the stability has increased. also the bumps now feel a little softer than earlier.

i had to alter for fitting the rear tyre. i had to cut the chain cover by half centimetre. but believe me, it looks really good.

also the height of the rear end had increased.. due to bigger tyres.

guys i am interested in doin performance mods... so please suggest some

will post pictures in 1 or 2 days

pulsars.... hmmm not for me..
actually i feel the wheelbase3 of a pulsar is small as compared to the power it has...

normally i take the karizma to 7000-8000 rpm in the first and second gear.. so i need a bike which doesnt throw me off during pickup

1. K& N Air filter, try to lay your hands on uni filters.
2. Drop a teeth or two in the rear sprocket for top speed.
3. Maybe a Tectrac exhaust or a Proton exhaust can be fitted.
4. Upjet ur carb.

if you are not worried about about mileage so much.
try porting and polishing it.

And the newest addition NOS (quiet expensive for the kit i say).

P.S : Get a seatbelt fitted

I dint know that Tectrac does exhausts for the four strokes. Honda Dude you need to be clear as to what do you want. Better top end or better mid and low end. Top end in India is useless in most cases unless you have access to long and clear straight roads. That leaves low and mid end. This is what you can aim for.

Find yourself a good tuner. Get a UNI as nosfreak said. Upjet and fit unis. You can also get your head flowed properly and polished. You need a flow bench to do this. You can't get a head to flow properly without a flow bench.
