need some help buying a 2nd hand karizma...

guys the bike i have my eye fixed on is a 4month old karizma that i am scheduled to buy next week. Min reason for me to choose this bike, i.e. second hand is because this is used for only 4 months and the kid who is selling the bike is crazy after the pulsar 200 launched in hyderabad just a week ago. The kid is selling the bike for 35-40k only.

i have my own doubts about the bike and need some help in checking the bike before buying it, i need to justify the reason put forward by the kid for selling the bike.

i think this can only be done if i can check the bike thoroughly i need advice on things checkout on the bike..... please help...

Karizma's sold(second-hand/atleast more than 6months old) here cost 55-60+k
find out the reasons why he is selling it for such low price.Do ask around(shops selling second's bikes) how much,since HH bikes have really good resale value,30-45K is a steal mate.
Do check
1)clean papers.
2)any cases pending on it.(might have involved in accident,some sell it off quickly)
3)how much kms clocked
4)engine(most kids rip their new bikes without proper run-in)

Yup, it smells fishy.

35-40k seems far too low for a 4 month old bike. Check the tyres, and rev the engine. The Karizma engine should rev very very smoothly for about 5000 - 6000 rpm before sounding slightly harsh. There does not seem to be too much difference between the 200 and the Karizma, another reason for the smell.
