Mods: please knock out my last message, its incomplete.
Kinetic Pride 1995 till 1997
Loved my first motorised bike and learnt a lot.
Tinkered with the engine, even opened up the head once.
Had no idea what I was doing
Screwed it up so much, the top speed went down to 25kmp.
but milage was over 80kmpl or something.
Finally sold the bike for under 3k.
used to ride like 120 kms in a day sometimes in speeds of 50 kmph or something
and thats on a NH45.
HH Spelndour 1999 till 2002
Did around 45k kms before selling it off.
Did not mess around much with this bike.
Tried to tighten the chain, had to get a replacment.
Slipped fingers while removing the oil drain nut, 8 stitches on my hand.
Longest distance done was around 180kms.
RE Thunderbird 2003 till FOREVER
speedo/odo stopped at 23k kms.
Removed the entire unit a year later.
Estimate that the bike has done in excess of 60k kms.
replaced both tyres, chain twice, sprocket once.
Celebrating four years, new horns and shocks.
Longest ride in a day, 900 kms.
Bike maintained such that it can do over 2k kms with just refuleing.
Top speed, no idea...
Milage, dont care....

Hello to all 'wheeled' enthusiasts,
Here are my rides:
1. Suvega 50 (learnt motorized 2-wheeling on it, used to be my father's)
2. LunaTFR Plus (family)
3. Vespa 100 (used to be made by APSL, again my father's)
4. TVS 50 XL (owned)
5. Yezdi 250 '77 model (owned, bought used)
6. Yamaha RX 100 ('86 model, bought 2nd hand)
Did a Chennai-CBE & back trip once on it. Another BLR-Panaji/back trip.
This little beast was one of the original Jap machines and had plenty of heart,
good initial power but top-end wasn't comparable to my next one.
7. Suzuki Shogun ('95/96 model, bought new, put in about 56k Kms on this)
umpteen trips -BLR-Chennai, one BLR-HYD and back, and another BLR-Panaji
& back trip on it. Never had a single flat or break-down on either one.
8. Honda CB750Four ('78 model, bought 3rd hand, sold- barely did 200 miles)
9. Suzuki SV650S ('02 model bought new, sold- did about 3.8K miles on it)
10. Kawasaki Z1000 ('03 model ", current bike- has about 11k miles on it)

Twenty years plus ...
Its been more than 20 years since I've been riding two wheelers and about 5 years since I've been driving four wheelers.
I started off with my dads lambretta, had rode 'suvega', hero puch. Dad had maintained lambretta for a long time. Then he changed to chetek. I rode it all.
After my first salary bought an used Vespa, in 91. It was a great scooter, one of the best rides till date. Met with an accident and changed to lighter TVC Champ. In 95 bought 4S, the worst bike I had so far. I bought it for 32+, a new one. Engine was a big let down and had to spend a lot in the 3 years I had it, and had to junk it.
Bought an one year old splendour, this was also a bad one. In 2003 August I got CD Dawn. A great bike, my bro is using it. Have not spent anything but for regular servicing and a new battery. Bike is in great shape. In retrospect one flaw in CD Dawn and splendour has cost dear. Both have hard kick starts. My hip got hurt, and I had to switch to Maruti 800 a few years back. My love for bikes didn't abate, albiet I use it for regular commuting only. Recently got a Zeus. Not a great bike this. In a couple of months will post a report on Zeus.
