I bought a bike with my first salary way back in 1996 ( No..The bike costed more, so i took a official loan. Yeah, it made me a debtor day 1 ) .

It was a 2nd hand Yamaha RX100 . 1990 model .

I still have it. Hardly been driving it due to health issues, demands of work. Now I got it ready for use again. Some more of work to be done, and i would back riding it .

I shall post some snaps once I get him out on sunlight

I have been a bike freak from age 11 when I used to sneak rides on my dad's Triumph 650 Thunderbird till I got caught!! Was then given a James to muck about with. Don't even think I could list all the bikes I'v owned and sold over the years.Have a reasonable collection of them now and still ride almost daily. Did a ride to Ladak and Leh in the early 1970's on a '57 Matchless G3L. Had to depend on the Army for Petrol but did not even have one flat tire. Had to clean out the carb on 2 or 3 ocassions due to the dust in the fuel.[ Still have that bike though]

Started off with a RX 100 back in school.
Then it's been Bullet C.I. 350s (4 of them), Bullet C.I. 500, RD 350, H.H. Karizma ZMR, LML Vespa, one more Cast Iron 350, A Machismo L.B 500, A Classic UCE 500... All sold off one by one.. Am riding a Ninja 250 now- My nephew's got dibs on this one, booked a Classic Chrome 500. Supposed to arrive by month end.. Am real excited!..

My current ride is a green 1999 TVS-Suzuki Samurai. It was overhauled (the engine was not touched since its just 41k old but everything else was given a refresh) a few days back, and the tiny bike's 9.8NM of torque at 5000RPM still amazes me with the thrust with which it pushes the vehicle forward, though the 4-speed short ratio gearbox and 7.8 BHP of power at 5500RPM keeps top speed at this side of 85 km/h.

After overhauling I hoped to take some good snaps of the shining bike for posting here but all those plans went down the drain along with monsoon-related dirt within 3 hours of bringing it back from the service center.
