| BHPian | According to rumours on the net ( Motorcycle Daily , MCN New Honda CB750 rumoured) , Honda is looking at making a modern version of one of the greatest bikes ever : the CB 750. Honda seem to have thought about it seeing the latest success of the retro Bonneville from Triumph. The engine of the bike is already up (in Japan) and the bike will most probably be seen at the Tokyo Motor Show in October |

| BHPian | will be nice to see a legend on the road again. hey bunny, Seen a CBX1000 Inline 6 at the Bahrain motor show and the Masala is sexy. Just want to admire that engine and those lovely pipes. the 750 looks better organised though. the 1000 has a massive block - sure will need frame sliders. so we will get to see Nighthawk again i guess!!!

| Team-BHP Support ![]() | Valkyrie & Rune are made on the same chassis as the Goldwing and share the engine. The Rocket is an inline triple.

| BHPian | But still i feels instead of inlines V always rocks and future is V, Honda had nice range of V twins and 4's but due to some burned cams and highly complicated engines they failed to do in 80's (VF500F, VF750F,VF1000F, VFR's from 400-500) now with VFR's from 750-800, VT's,VTX's,VTR's are they are trying to come up. Mind it VF1000F generates 118 BHP compared to CBX1000 even after having just 4 cylenders. |

| Senior - BHPian | I don't think it'll be a huge hit as the original... because the original CB750 was a landmark motorcycle in the history of production motorcycles. First production motorcycle to come with a multi cylinder (read that as more than 2 jugs) and a disk brake and with everyday reliability. There are already two Japanese retro machines in the market that i can remember they are Kawasaki ZRX1200 and the Honda CB1300. I had a 78 model F series CB750 SOHC, and that was my first proper motorcycle that i owned. It was pretty heavy at 245 kilos and power was not so great compared to the modern machines with only 68somethingBHP but that engine had a locomotive like torque on tap. The company says it'll do 120mph tops i took it to around 95mph (couldn't tolerate the 'chilled' wind blast) but she still had enough left in the throttle. The motor was very under stressed and gave the rider a feeling like it could go on and on and on.. like the feeling that you get when u ride a Bullet at 60-80kmph; difference being you'll be traveling at almost double the speed on the CB. When i bought the bike it had done around 60000miles on the odo. And still ran fine but with a bit of smoke. When we opened the engine i was surprised to find that the pistons were std size! Speaks a lot about the Honda engineering.
