I would say dump both of them and go for a RX135 5 sp.
RD is not easy to maintain (it may spend most of the time in garage) and Aquila won't be as much fun IMO.

If you have not owned an RD till date, then buy it, bikes like Aquila will come and go, you wont have too many good chances on an RD. I have had some of the best rides of my life on an RD, and on the fun factor you can compare it to any big bike. RD is cult yamaha, Hyosung would not be the name I would want on my bike, though the Aquila is not a bad bike.
I would have been in a real fix if it was between a Comet and an RD since I have already owned an RD once.
Cheers.

How many people here would be able to help me with the bike? This would be a really important factor.

A properly maintained RD with a good aftermarket CDI is as good on maintenance as a Hero Honda CD 100.

Please verify yor facts before posting stuff like this. I use my RD every time I am in India and it starts on the 3rd kick even after 6 month lay-offs.

Well... devarshi84 want to use the bike for only 4 months thats why my statement about RD reliablity. If he can get a bike in that good condition then theres nothing like RD.

Good hear that your RD is working so well. I would love to buy and use one.

RD is difficult live with but the amount of thrills it'll give will overshadow anything else. Ride it once and you'll decide immediately i guarantee.

Take a test of both bikes. I can guarantee 99.9% that the RD would be the first choice. Unless you prefer civilised commuting...

But of course, that's just me. Damn the maintenance. I would tinker with it all week long just for that sunday morning blast...

Everything else aside, buy an RD for the sound alone.

While scouting for RDs dont go for the looks... while buying an RD the only thing you should worry about is the condition of the engine. The previous owner will not let you open it up and check the condition of the sleeves etc.. So take along with you a trusted friend who has an RD.

Buying a crappy RD and getting the engine done to the RD standards will take money and in your case more important is the time. You have only 4 months to spare.

If you buy an RD make sure that you get the RD.

My sincere advise to you is that if you're unable to find an RD that goes like the RD it is better to own an Aquila. Do not buy a crappy RD and get blown away by souped up RXes you'll have more to worry.
